am so thankful to God for moving the Black folks forward. I am an inspiring writer and many people have read my book. It affects people in many different ways. I dare you to read it and find out how it will affect you. It is a about finding hope and making wrongs right in a most powerful way. My book is called THE GATES OF JUBILEE. By Crystal Haney Please pray for me and the success of my book. Thank you and God Bless America!
I was there at this rally. Does anyone know the name of the Santa Fe boy band that performed??? you can here them performing "Don't Let Me Down" in the backround
Without bias on the content of your comment, I would suggest that your argument would be more fairly received were you to present it with less racist vitriol. Most Americans agree that wealthy contributors, of many a hew, curry undo influence on the political system. Anger will make enemies of those who might naturally be allies in a broader fight. Your issue, disproportionate influence, might be resolved as a by-product of, say, election finance reform. Also, Where did you get the numbers?
What I find interesting is GoldmanSachs743371's inherent argument that campaign financiers expect influence for their contributions. I would be curious to hear his (or her) thoughts on the constitutionality of Campaign Finance controls and public funding legislation.
And, as a note of explanation, I did not immediately remove GoldmanSachs743371's racist comment as it is illustrative of the level to which our public discourse has fallen. Let the comment stand. Any thoughts?
Let it Stand...it is Freedom of Speech...just disturbing that the closer we get to the election the more the Fanatical Right (I mean off the chart right) will start showing it's colors (or intolerance of!)and continuously use the Karl Rove policy on what is the TRUTH...repeat a lie offten enough in public forums and it becomes the truth...FACTS are the numbers GodmanSachs used are the contributions to the Mccanin champaing! Just the Zeitgeist of our time...but right or left go America..vote!
A: Not sure it's technically a First Amendment Issue as this is a private forum. So the question is actually a little subtler. It is, need we listen to everyone? Just a question for ethicists and philosophers. I'm of the opinion that at the root of many an outrageous statement there is a deeper, more universal issue that might need to be addressed.
B: Where did you get the numbers that point to McCain?
