de todsa maneras l idial seria hacer una comparacion real qu esta muy bien que dias que es mas rapido pero demuestramelo no me pongas el sonido de una baca y grillo enfin.....

@pincherb2 le poner windows saca tiempo, instalacion (40aprox minimo) , una vez instalado tenes que instalar primero, el antivirus, actualizarlo, herramientas de limpieza, instalar drivers o instalador automatico (bajarlos), instalar office, instalar un navegador web decente,flash player, instalar un descomprensor como winrar, para cualquier programa a instalar que requiera compresion que son muchos. segun necesidades. reiniciar

En linux: 2 minutos carga el sistema.no necesita mas. ;)

@nicoarg7787 a ver lo de los 40 mins aprox te quedaste hace 10 años con windows xp amijo.

al iniciar windows por primera vez, te salta lo de las actualizaciones que puedes poner que lo haga el a su bola y tu te olvidas.

herramientas de limpieza son opcionales si quieres bien y sino pues nada.

macho respecto a drivers..... los linuxeros los que menos podéis hablar de esto jajaj

@nicoarg7787 windows te los detecta automáticamente, mi ultimo formateo a sido para pasar a 64 bits no por problemas con el s.o y lo unico que no me cogio en la instalacion fue el driver de la grafica, el cual me detecto por windows update y me lo instalo automaticamente.

navegador decente... veo que no has probado internet explorer 9 pero bueno a dia de hoy tiene prohibido meterlo de serie con lo que tu en su primer arranque te dice cual quieres.

Author must install win7 as a host, don't run it in a vm. It runs way faster than Ubuntu on same hardware. Ubuntu is nice but this ad is a shame and very misleading.

Hola soy user de linux también, ¿ Que tarjeta gráfica tienes ?. A veces cuesta más o menos encontrar controladores y compilarlos pero en las distribuciones más usadas como ubuntu es muy muy muy difícil que no puedas encontrar compatibilidad. Quizás me equivoque pero a mi no se me ha dado el caso.

It is true if we talk about Ubuntu vs Windows but version 11.10 is slower than its predecessors, the new linux desktop is not help losing a little convenience, speed and usability for estéctica ....... I installed on my pc I have what I believe is the best option, Linux Mint Debian Edition

This ad seems particularly misleading. If Ubuntu with Unity is running that well on that computer, then Windows 7 would too. I say this as a fervent fan of Ubuntu and free software btw.

Just a note: if this video is intended to convert people to Ubuntu, if should contains some essential info at the final screen, displayed in the last few seconds. It must include the website address, so that people would know where to get Ubuntu from. It might be also useful to provide some short information that it's free (as in beer, most average people don't care about philosophy). Great job though, one of my favorite ads! (and finally good choice of music) :)

@UbuntuAds That's not exactly what I meant. First: The website address might be displayed below the "Ubuntu 11.10" text. And the point is not in showing that Ubuntu is free - I do know many other ads concentrate on that fact - but to to show people: "You can get that nice, FAST system you have just seen in the ad - for FREE". A short note "Get it for free at ..." (YT won't let me write the address) below the "Ubuntu 11.10" caption in the final scene would do the trick.
