They should put it in water first, THEN bury it in dirt, THEN run over it with a truck, and see if it will shoot. Putting it in water after dirt is just washing off the dirt.
My frist purchase was XD 9mm, second purchase XDm 40, Third Still an XDm subcompact 40, LOL, i just love every little thing about my XD series gun, oh yea for glock fanboy, i checked glock out cause i wanted a 10mm, but glock is nothing compair to XD or XDm, XDm owned glock on everything accept the weight, but a few ounce different dont matter LOL, two thumb up for the BEST HAND GUN EVER MADE!! ....***i wish they make 10mm for XDm ***
I am considering the XDM 45 but nobody has informed me if the internal mechanism is plastic or metal. Also I would like to know if they can handle p+ loads as well. Thank you
@granputon01 billet steel that's what contributes to it's heavier weight over a glock, I had the xdm 9mm and xdm 45. Ultimately sold them and went back to glock and 1911 platform due to the vast availability of factory and aftermarket parts. In the event I would break a part i can walk into most of my local gun shops and get what i need to get it up and running again. Don't get me wrong the xd and xdm are great guns however i sold these for my own reasons.
Only reason why people like glocks is because of the television shows and movies. Im a police officer and i CHOOSE to carry the Springfield XD Compact .40 on my side to protect me on duty!
@069751 Glock 1911s, they have 9mm versions that can hold over 17 rounds. Glocks aren't as accurate as a 1911 though and don't have the same potential. Weight is personal preference.
02:18 ''unlike other polymer pistols (glock)...........so the xd points right where you want it from the very first round'' i had no clue until now that my glocks have been pointing in the wrong direction for 5 years now :) i guess i better run to the gun shop and get me an xd before something terrible happens..... :)
I have owned a Glock model 22, .40cal I loved it, but I traded it for a Springfield armory xd40 and i like it more because of the light trigger and the palm safety. I wont buy another Glock again. The Springfield beats them all by a mile.
@vanausdoll97 I've got two XDm's and I put trigger kits in both of them. One from Springer Precision, and one from Powder River Precision. Both are great, the PR is better. Ultra short cycling and I have mine tuned at a hair under 3lbs (it's a range / competition gun). I can shoot that just as fast as I can my 1911, often times better.
I'm looking at a Glock 21 or Sa XD45. Both seem tough as nails. Both seem as reliable as hell. I know that Glock has been around longer, therefore has proven itself more but I'm not convinced this equates to being better in the long term. The additional safety features of the XD aren't a negative IMO so for me it's going to come down to most useful features right out of the box and comfort in hand.
@MacTeutates Given my personal experience with the XDM .40, I'd say the Croatians do a pretty good job! Considering the compact version for CC. I have a Thunderwear holster coming, will see how the full size fits down there.
Glock was out first and has all those features except the striker indicator or the grip safety and both are useless . if the slide is close you should assume the striker is charged and if your hand is on the gun its ready to fire . what a bunch of tools
@MuayThai8548 Cute. What about all the cops who've shot themselves in the leg with Glocks? I'll take the grip safety, striker indicator, loaded chamber indicator, better trigger, better grip angle, and better grips. Thank you very much.
@MuayThai8548 Talk to the cops, not me. Here's what I love about Glock fan-boys.
Glocker: "We don't need no grip safety!"
Me: "But what's the issue with it? Does the grip safety in any way shape or form get in the way of the smooth operation of the firearm? The correct answers is no. Go away now."
@ProtoformX heres what i love about xd people . Its so much more comfortable than glock and its so proven . those are both opinions glock is much mroe comfortable to me and i could trust my life to it the xd has known issues and has not been proven seeing how its not even been around 10 years . glock has been around 20+ and is trusted all over the world . the xd is a decent gun but i dont trust anything that comes from a country that made a piece of shit like the yugo car .
@MuayThai8548 Ironic that this back and forth is still going on... Went shooting with eight other people today. One guy brought a Glock... We all had a go at it. We all hated it except for the guy who bought it. XD has been around for 20+ years as well. Just wasn't always marketed by Springfield. Same good gun, though. And VW Bus was a POS car. Guess that means all German guns are POS's too by your logic.
Wanna be Glock hahahahah actually I have shot a XD and they have a nice trigger but IMHO too many safeties. A gun is a deadly tool.... not a VOLVO. If you do what your suppose to do your not gonna hurt yourself or anyone.
Do you have a subcompact? I have shot the subcompact XD to the tactical and they all have manageable recoil. I shoot my XD 40 on IDPA matches and double taps are no problem.
I shot about 2 mags through an XD .40 and the recoil tore up my wrist. Im not one to complain about recoil, but that thing hurt! High bore axis, maybe? Loved the trigger, for what its worth.

Would be interesting to know if packer engineering tested glock

I feel as though this gun is better than a Glock. Only thing Glocks have over it is the aftermarket support.

@jntroisi If you are looking for the best gun get the HP P30 period !

@granputon01 Hmmm.... I wasn't aware that Hewlett Packard was in the gun manufacturing business. The HK P30 is a nice gun, but its a tad overpriced.
