I agree with most of your comment, except for the part that this is about oil. Obtaining oil can be done through different means. And if we want to follow the typical capitalist approach to things: Once they become to expensive it becomes less efficient, so we will move onto another energy source. You seem to think that the collapse started at the outside and that the core columns were in tact and holding their loads against the downward force of everything else. In that case, shear physics would be necessary. But the collapse started in the core, thus negating anything you just said. The collapse did not happen like Nova shows above. You can observe it in 1WTC, 2WTC and 7WTC. The cores went first, removing the load resistance to gravity. There was no reason for it to slow.
