Broery suffered from his 1st stroke in September 23, 1998. He stayed in hospital for 1 1/2 months. Once recovered he formed his duet album with Dewi Yull, 20 Spesial Nostalgia. He also di Keroncong and 30 Years in Review (included his most popular songs; Angin Malam & Mimpi Sedih). During the time, Broery gives testimonies at various church activities. However, on May 14, 1999, he suffered another stroke while singing in a church. On the 7th of April 2000 Broery passed away. SAD
