  • What a guy. I love this man. He might be my favorite Indian instrumentalist.

  • Ram Naryan (sarangi) + Suresh Talwarkar (tabla) ~ Raag Jog ~ Shiraz Arts Festival (1970s)

  • Need to increase your website sales? My choice would be the GAS system,Because other aff programs require very hard coding to install,Download it at GAS-AFFILIATEdotCOM and set it up in 2 minutes.

  • I actually cried like a little girl watching this. amazing.

  • Read about the unbelievable adventures of Dr. Lloyd Miller traveling and performing through the Middle East and beyond by going to the jazzscope website and clicking on Sufi, Saint & Swinger.

  • I just love watching Ram Narayan play and you can see the joy that creating this beautiful music gives him. The joy is contagious! Thanks for posting, I am a HUGE fan of the sarangi : )

  • Raga Jog

  • Of all the beautiful instruments in Hindustani music, the sarangi is probably the most lovely and expressive.

  • Japanese /chinese also sit on the floor.

  • Dear Dr Miller,

I can't thank you enough for your videos about Afghan, Persian, and Indian. It's so amazing how Afghan music has influenced Indian music and vice versa and how much they have in common e.g. both Afghan and Indian/Pakistani musicians sit on the floor, unlike almost any other musical tradition (I think).

    Thanks a lot. Pax Tecum,

    Haroon.

  • Achchha ! Priceless documentary!!
