  • In reply to penguinluther: How many RequiemS Mozart composed? Just ONE dear. But your comment is excellent, straight from the heart.

  • @Ithemis123 thanks for clearing this up for me, i was uninformed

  • yeah lol i also remember it from Hey arnold =P

  • Tres Beau!, Tres Beau! i remeber it from the Hey arnold episode when helga changes the scores on olgas report and she salks in her room, with this song in the background. totaly aweosme~

  • i think you know more about the truth.. i see it in your pictures. love & light! greetings from germany

  • Man, if I close my eyes while listening this song carefully, weird things happen inside...

  • this is one of my all-time favorites of Mozart's requiems!!!

  • Didn't he write only one? Correct me if necessary.

  • which one is the one that starts wie lieb lich seine deine woh nungen herr Zebaoth?? haha trying to find out which one so i can practice at home for chorus

  • Wie lieblich sind dein Wohnung, Herr Zabaoth!

  • wasn't this song in the lion king when mufasah dies?

  • Yes it is! It's Lacrimosa Dies Illa. Beautifull en powerfull!

  • Bellini's Casta Diva, Liszt's sogno d'amore, Puccini's intermezzo from Manon Lescaut... there are a lot of beatiful classical music, is very difficoult do a seletion!

  • does anyone know if this was in any major theatrical or television release? ive heard it somewhere and was captivated.

  • Evanescense made a verson with Lyrics and it was for the commercial for the tutors on HBO, maybe that is where you heard it. The song is Lacrymosa by evanescence if you want to see if that is what you are talking about.

  • no this is by mozart. evanescence use part of this song as a backgroud.

  • Being a powerful song by one of the "Gods" of classical music, this song, which in itself invokes powerful emotions, can be found in many places be it music sampling by other artists or used in a movie that chooses to use something other than original compositions.

It's not rare for people to be well acquainted with Mozart's music, but not know who the composer is. In fact, a lot of the music I considered to be 'modern' were in fact written by classical composers such as Mozart.

    Look up more.

  • i love this song, but i had a version

that was slower and it was really beautiful!

  • Very Cool

  • its pretty...(an inadequite comment)

  • XD, yup

  • this video fits the music perfectly...feels like your drowning and the light goes away...i like 1:40-2:05 the most..it seems very eerily calm/happy

  • Lightned up my Metal-Heart! Great piece of music!

  • Great part but for me the greatest is Rex Tremendae.

  • greatest part of the requiem!

  • Awesome!!!!!its GREAT...

  • the whole thing about the notes is not necessarily true, it hasnt been proven....he wrote pieces of the requiem, he didnt go in order, thats why its so hard to know what exactly he did finish

  • i love lacrimosa!

  • Might I interject that Mozart did not get very far into the Lacrimosa. He wrote about 8 measurses of it, When given to Eblyer, the #1 guy chosen to finish the requiem post Mozarts Death he only wrote the first two lines of the Soprano line it wasnt until the 4th guy chosen, Sussmayer that this work gave birth. Mozart had notes for what he wanted done, but never got to actually there. Just some fun facts about the Requiem, which is why I love it so much. :-)

  • Mile gratzie, tante mile, I'll try your sugest thank you a lot. God bless you

  • Gratzie Gratzie tante mile, please if it is possible to make a wish come true, can you translate all the sequence, please ? so the common people like me can understand de words of the whole misa ? please ? I'm beging you

  • write "requiem mozart translation" in Google and see 2nd result, there is full translation

  • you should know that mozart only wrote the first few beats, a guy called süßmayr finisthed it.

mozart died during composing this requiem.

but all told an awesome piece of music :3

  • Yes, but Mozart compose most of parts and Sysmayr was writing in Mozart style

  • Mozart was an alien, a human cant do something like this :PPP

  • kill the united states people

  • Weird or not to listen to this music...everybody's got to know that this man was a brilliant man from his time. He was one of the best conductors from his time. But this piece has got to be one of my favorites...and I do love the Evanescence version of this song as well. By the way...great what you have done with this video. Great work.

  • can anyone tell me in what language is Lacrimosa written in ?? and i also love tha vid man.. great job...

  • translation of all Lacrimosa text:

    Latin:

    Lacrimosa dies illa,

    qua resurget ex favilla

    judicandus homo reus.

    Huic ergo parce, Deus,

    pie Jesu Domine,

    dona eis requiem. Amen.

  • English:

That day of tears and mourning,

when from the ashes shall arise,

    all humanity to be judged.

Spare us by your mercy, Lord,

    gentle Lord Jesus,

    grant them eternal rest. Amen.

  • Love this song, Mozart's simply amazing, and it's nice to hear it done well. Awesome vid.

  • I am really happy that You all are inspired by Mozart music, there is no doubt it is touching the deepest parts of our souls and sometimes even bringing us close to "infinitive truth" ... at least I feel in this way.

  • Just love your work. What gave you the idea to do a video to this particular piece?

  • Well me and my colleague made this projection as part of scenography for main concert of Sacrum Profanum Festival.

  • It's spectacular. When you see this while you in hospital, the brevity of life presses upon you. We have so little time on this planet. Best to do what good we can, for soon we will be dead.

  • my favorite
