Every one is a "photographer" today! Equipment is not the most important factor. Great images come from any camera. I do mean ANY camera. In the old days cameras were primitive but photographers produced fantastic images. Today, we have incredible technology and a boatload of morons claiming to be "photographers" I know many old art directors (70 years old plus) who are 100 times more creative than todays young copy-cat gutless wonder insipid unoriginal equipment worshiping dolts. AMEN.

That is absolutely spot on, I've seen some people do great things with a simple P & S camera (like me for example, or at least I like to think so, hehe - have some sample photos in my own Youtube Channel, though!) but I've come across some pretty lousy shots taken on high-end DSLR's by people who has more money than sense.

Yeah it is a mix of 2 different formats and it was desaturated but it is an early TEST shoot (mostly natural light) with the 5d.. maybe READ the description before blindly being such a hater douche.. oh wait! you're probably a photographer and want to say that YOUR stuff looks so much better. RIIIIiiiight.

you're arguing about quality over a youtube video? even thou this wasn't deinterlaced and IS ON YOUTUBE, quality is fine (yes, fine, even on the hd version - we all know youtube compression fcks up the video).

Okay, you are right. I was not watching in 720"HD". But, two other things I will share with you: If a video is natively intended to be displayed at HD then that is usually the way Youtube has been displaying them by DEFAULT. Other videos here that are of your same HD quality in my browser will first display at the intended resolution. Yours begins in 360p and shows no sign of HD as an option. You might want to take a look and edit that setting for this upload.

@sarahmarshallkillahs you seem to have shot this in INTERLACED video. But Youtube is generally shown in Progressive because that is the way a computer monitor sees things. So, a video shot with an interlaced scan will show jaggies when things are in motion. If the subject is standing still everything is fine, but the moment they move or the camera moves the motion jaggies show up. It would look better HERE if you ran a de-interlace first on the footage. Nice cam though!

How's your video noise in shady areas? I get quite a bit..and I use the 2.0.4 firmware, shoot with ISO around 100, but doubt it stays there...no sharpening anymore...I stop down in av mode...but get a lot of video noise in those areas above black...looks tacky...

The footage shot in the red dress was shot with a mini 35 rig (and they didn't get a chance to color correct) but I liked it (the mood of it) so it's 2 diff cameras
