I love my 616. I have an old Delux Memory Man and it's just as 'warm' but it has no volume drop. Also, the modulation is variable, which on the DMM it isn't. Great little pedal.

This is my favourite pedal on my board, I can't thank you guys enough for allowing people like me to hear and get to know all of these pedals. I live in Belgium and the only brands the stores sell here are Boss, MXR and some low budget stuff, and if you're lucky some boutique brands that are always out of stock. If it wasn't for this demo I probably would have never ordered a Malekko.

I still like the sweet sound of my carbon copy more than this. Yes, this one has many more options but if you are looking for a sweet and warm delay, Carbon Copy is the way to go.

Why did you demo the True Bypass/Buffered mode-switch with the pedal on?

The signal is going to be buffered as long as the pedal is on regardless of what that switch is set to, it only changes if the bypassed signal is buffered or not when the pedal is turned off

I modified my EH memory man to have the vibrato rate variable. All it took was the swapping out of one resistor for a pot. So it does a lot more.

from what i understand the pots are PCB mounted and have some "wiggle" to them as they are not physically attached to the enclosure. do you think this could be a durability problem for someone who has to travel with their gear alot? thanks

I like this pedal a lot, but having some problems. I love the tone, but I'm having an issue with cascading, it just cascades/ossilates way to quickly for me... even when set to similar repeats and time as my Maxon AD999 and Vox Time Machine...

I was debating between the carbon copy and this and went with this one. I don't regret it one bit. The determining factor was that this pedal gave me the ability to adjust depth and speed whenever I needed to with the mod button engaged. On the carbon copy you would have to remove the backplate and adjust a pot. Also having a buffered/true bypass switch helped. Love the sound on this pedal too. These extra features sold me instantly.
