The most amazing part of all of this sequence is its aftermath: Newt and Hicks died (of course), Bishop was ripped apart (he already was by then, though), and Ripley's hair balded away (but, that was physically all, in her case), all as a result of this incident.

I've flown with worse Pilots than that! Who hasn't crashed two or three Planes anyway? There was a German Pilot in WWII that crashed 5 Planes in one day. They were short on Pilots & He was shooting down other Planes before they got Him, so they just kept sending Him back up again. Any landing You can walk away from is a good one. What goes up, must come down, right. Right! So don't make such a big deal out of it & get right back on that Horse again. Crashing just adds more experience!
