"2011/8/15 0:15 we launched PAKSAT-1R and sent it to the orbit successfully by LM-3B carrier rocket in Xichang Satellite Launch Center."
"About 26 minutes after liftoff, Xichang Monitoring & Control Center indicated that satellite separated from the rocket normally, and satellite entered the geostationary transfer orbit with perigee 204km, apogee 41985km and inclination 24.8degs."
"This launch mission was a complete success. PAKSAT-1R is another cooperation between Pakistan and China after launched a Pakistan's small satellite by LM-2 in 1990/7."
"This satellite is mainly to meet the demand of telecommunications, broadcasting, and broadband multimedia. It's the first time we use the way of "hand over a satellite on the orbit" to the asia client, and the first commercial service in this year."
@ohmyholymothergod Yes by the grace of Almighty :) indeed that's an achievement, and to meet the National Space Program 2040, we'll be launching series of Satellites in coming years plus A local launch pad is also under development phases...I guess next we'll have a remote sensing satellite within a year :)
although i don't understand space high techs, but i know satellites are very important for a country's development in agriculture, irrigation, communication... and etc.
