Lanegan, incredible. Gosso king of crater lake, one of a kind, and I think J-Ho on the drums on this track...this stuff is so smooth I can't explain it.
Ever since "Whiskey for The Holy Ghost hit me,,, I love Lanegan,,, Saw him with the Gutter Twins or should I say another band of his,,, His voice is under appreciated and his brilliance is there always
i think Mark Lanegan sounds like Jim Morrison sometimes , but Mark has better voice... and screaming trees, yes the music of my childhood. Grunge in my heart...
you said it ! mark lanegan resembles jim. in many ways. mark loves to remain in the dark. about his personal life and childhood. there is a movie coming up about them.
dmbear29 you have a point but we'd all love to hear that but,he's such agreat singer i'd rather hear him singing new songs that he wrote himself instead of covers
I'm a Lanegan fan big time. Hope my next request can happen. Would anyone else like him to cover some Doors? I like all his original music. In fact Nearly lost was a definitive jam in my music experience. I just would like to hear his take on People Are Strange or Riders on the Storm. Ive listened to a lot of both for a while and always thought 1+1= Hellzyeah. Plus we could all shit on that Val kilmer imitation once and for all.
I'm so glad I found Ugly Sunday on my bros ipod, quite by accident.. or i never would have heard this wealth of great music. like how i checked out Tom Waits cause i was so fucking bored.
Thank you for uploading this! This is simply one of the best songs I've ever heard in any genre, and hopefully youtube can help more people give Lanegan the recognition he deserves.

you can tell he must have listened to a lot of the doors - even the way he cradles the mic is like jim - both amazing, deep singers
