  • RIP to those poor people at 8:40. there was no escaping that

  • at 8;28 for any future surfers out there, that wave is NOT the kind of wave you EVER want to surf. That is a death wave

  • dayuum

  • wow

  • so tragic! Lets hope we can all learn from this video.. Wherever you are on this planet! Be prepared for the unexpected. The voices on this video show just how shocked they were at the speed and power of this wave/waves. A very revealing film.

  • Well that went from bad to worse in a metter of a few seconds. What incredible power that water has...

  • shut that bird up

  • The Alarm at 7:44, a bit f--king late mate.

  • Pretty good.I enjoyed this , thanks.

  • unless they escaped to the concrete building otherwise the 4 people seen on the one crashed are dead for sure

  • rip to those everybody will figure them running crazy before the big hit..they should have left to higher ground or die...

  • Look at the size of the wave incoming at 8:20

  • You could see at least 3 or 4 tsunami victims in this video.

  • I will never live by the coast sod it.

  • At least they got it on video but I would not be stupid enough to be filming it for that long unless isolated on a hill or something. It comes in so fast, it looks like its in slow motion and then suddenly no escape. Did not notice untill now the people at 8:35 in the building with the brown roof, damn thought everyone would have been evacuated, makes me sick.

  • @studentdebts I suspect that hundreds of people were killed doing just that - stopping to film or watch not realising how massive and fast and powerful it was going to be - those people you can see in the building most probably thought they were safe wouldn't you in a tall building like that? No-one had any idea how massive it was going to be until it was far too late. Very sad and very tragic

  • @SarahJan30 I know but not much they could do either, maybe they did not see it till it was too late, Japan should know how high and fast these things happen its in their culture, that famous Tsunami painting is known the world over. I think all countries should learn from these things, we saw what happened in Indonesia before this one and that more globally destructive.

  • see the level of water compare the building height at 4:30 and at 10:08 then image... unbelievable... scary...

  • Retards

  • I think they are like most people. No one had a clue how bad it was going to be. Their tone changes as it becomes obvious how serious it is. Yes I noticed to it was odd the siren sounded after the wave was only coming ashore. Might be it went off earlier before the filiming begins.

  • These guys are only making light of a situation they have NEVER encountered before!!!!!....DONT FU CKING JUDGE someone unless you've walked a mile in their shoes....AND even then....DONT FU CKIN JUDGE PEOPLE!!!!!!

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...Can someone tell me,why the hell did the tsunami siren only start sounding at 07:35 mins???....It should've have been sounding from the moment of the earthquake!!!!!!!!!....

  • @0toatozor I think he was talking on the phone to someone he knew in town where the wave hadn't hit yet.

  • @junkboyy

Perhaps they didn't realize the seriousness at first.

  • This guys is very happy . Maybe smoke marihuana ... Stupid fagets :X :X :X

  • If seeing the incredible fear, people will not maintain the balance of the mind unless laugh. In front of the disaster people have abnormal psychology and rational behaviors will not be taken. Do not blame them.

  • Again I am no where near fluent so thanks for the translation. I could tell they were wondering at first if this was something to worry about but by the time that big wave comes in they are not joking, or even talking.

  • Then at 6:33 when tsunami started to go ashore one says "Ohhhh!" laughingly and the other says "This is bad. Huh? Can this be possible? Our shop may be over." But both are not talking in a serious tone, so they may not have thought tsunami could kill people. At 7:05 "This isn't normal." At 7:15 "Saito, go down there (I guess this isn't the ground that's already covered with water) and check out if everybody's already come up here. If not, tell them to do so."

  • @0TOᗩTOᘔOᖇ ...Tᕼᗩᑎ᙭ ᕼEᗩᑭᔕ 4 TᖇᗩᑎᔕᒪᗩTIOᑎ....✿◕ ‿ ◕✿

  • @0toatozor At 7:20, Saito says "Fuck you! You go tell them."

  • At 2:44 they are saying "That man is walkging like nothing's happening." "Does he want to kill himself?" and they giggle. Around 3:13 one is saying "It seems there will be no problem." At least as of this point, they didn't expect anything serious would happen. At 3:58 one says "That ship can't advance." and the two laugh again and keep talking about ships for a while.

  • This is the first video where I can see that the second wave is larger than the

first wave, or that there is a first inundation before the real first wave.

  • Very impressive. Who uploaded the original video?, are you sure this is Soma? New excelent contribution.

  • @9defebrerodel79 coordinate data 37.826421, 140.972561 (copy and paste into google map's search box) he took the video here. maybe from a cliff. it's Soma

  • The building those people were in survive the tsunami. But if you watch carefully, the wave hits the building with such force that paper from inside blows out of the windows. Anyone inside would have been blown out too. I never see them on the roof, but the wave sweeps over the roof a couple of times. So I'm afraid there's not much chance that they survived :(

  • This is a very instructive video to show that the waves in the series that comprise a tsunami do NOT all look alike. The first noticeable wave starts like a small flood, although of course it does get much stronger. But the subsequent waves are of the classic breaking wave form, and they are even more frightful! And they come ashore on top of the water that's already there.

  • I stand corrected,I don't speak Japanese but went more by the sound of their voices,I admit to being wrong and apologize, thank you for pointing this misunderstanding out.

  • @waltlee I could be wrong, I am not fluent, and at first I agreed with you. But I also know cultural differences and what may sound like chuckling to you and I for many Japanese is more along the lines of WTF, IS THAT HAPPENING?

  • Why are these retards laughing!?!

  • @tristan01101 NERVES, youth, inexperience, excitement, ect,.,

  • I'm sure those inside the building didn't stand a chance, unfortunately, but it is very dramatic video, the guys commenting on video didn't seem to care to much that a tsunami was coming, seemed more like a joke to them, that's sad, considering they saw people die.

  • @waltlee I think from what I can understand you are misunderstanding. At the beginning they are laughing because it looks like not much is happening, but once the water starts breaching the wall and the flood starts, they shift to disbelief and then shock.

  • At 11:20 the video ends.

    What happened to those people?

  • HOLY SHIT!!!!

  • OMG!!!!!!!

  • Dang Nature! You scary!

  • Siren a little late.

  • HARRP

  • @SupremeSatanist It's HAARP. Maybe it'd be a good idea if you got your facts straight before spewing nonsense?

  • Inside job those buildings had tnt in them.

  • Wherever you are finding these videos, keep posting them. Amazing footage from unusual angles that aren't well publicized.

  • I noticed those two guys were no longer laughing by the end of the video.

  • fk. por dios eso fue un monstruo lamentable yamachan, muy laMENTABLE.

  • Sweet. Mother. of God.

  • Now that's Your basic Tsunami.....Sweet Baby Jesus have mercy.....
