@turtaleater Obviously you have never seen the show or else not paid full attention, or you would know that he is FAR from ever have been the 'first one'
THERE ARE A FEW MEN I SO GIVE A LAW QUESTION FOR CRIMES MORE CRIMES IN LIFE TO WOMAN CRIMES STILL SAD ONLY THE WEEKER ATTACK YET SHOULD BE DONE TO CRIME BY JUGES YET PRE TO DEATH YET NEVER HARM TO WOMAN SO THEY WHOM TOOK A GOD SO TAKEN TO HARM WOMAN STIL THINGS I MAKE WORK IN REAL LIFE SAD WHAT CRIME IS
I say that becausebecause if you look dep within your mind and really ponder the questions that have been sked, you'd never come up with multiple answrs, nut in the olng run, none of them are right, because the questions are baed more on spoirituaity and pscychology than what Humans view and experience in their daily lives.
I think those questuons are so profound that htyey out-weight any qquestions or beluefsof any of the makor religions today. n religion, it;s based on the masses, the worshippers, but to me, the questuons represent what you feeland know in yur heart and soul.
The sheer psychology and sirituality of Babylon 5 is so deep that one can spend their entire life pondering those wuestions without ever arriving at a conclusion that they are satisified with.
That's true. I remember one episode, right near the end of the Shadow War, Sheridan confronted Kosh about it to the point where he said "Get off your encounter-suited butts and do something!" - or to that effect.
Can you really talk about yourself when there is everybody else?
These are deeply personal questions made to the whole of humanity! I am, We are....You shall find out with time that this says more about me ( and you) than you probably think!
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant.
It's not really about the answers, it's about the questions themselves. The questions themselves are to be kept in mind, and one's thinking and reasoning should be structured around them. Without such unanswerable questions, life itself would be meaningless. It's better to choose the human questions for that than the Shadow or Vorlon question though. The Shadows and Vorlons sort of missed the philosophical point.
As you said, it's not only about the questions, but from what you have just said, the questions are just as important, otherwise we could have no basis for even thinking or structuring ourselves. Without questions, you can't search for the answers and without the answers you cannot have a question to get the answers for.
Agreed about the Vorlon and Shadow questions. It was that problem of missing the point of what they asked that was brought up in the series (Battle for Carianna 6)
I am Me. I am all that I have done, all that I will do, all that I wish to do, all that I cannot do. I am a being beyond names, so I shall not resort to them.
I want what all desire, a place to find happiness.
I am here, to help others find what they desire, and in doing so, help myself.
@gribae : They are *hard* questions to answer, not impossible.
1. I am the sum of my experiences and my choices relative to those experiences
2. I want that which will make me better or happier than I currently am.
3. I have made choices in relation to what I want and who I am that have lead me to be here.
4. I am going to the nearest interesting path that I can reach wen what I am has outgrown this place, what I want can't be found here, and I cannot find a reason to be here.
@websnarf lol, despite the "inquisitor" zapping you, I thought that was pretty good. Very general, perhaps, and good old Jack probably would have zapped Delenn (again) if she'd said something similar, but still nicely thought-out.
@gribae I am myself, and nothing more. I am just one insignificant being in a vast universe. I want to do what I believe to be right. I am here because I want to be here, and because I believe I am needed here. I am going where the universe takes me.
The answer is:
I am...
(Yup, that simple.)

The Vorlons would know a great deal about things being "provided, defined, delineated, stamped, sanctioned, and approved by others," wouldn't they?

"I am I."
And thus the wisdom of Rei Ayanami kills another Inquisitor. At this rate I might want to see if they are hiring...

I love the semi-quote from 'The Prisoner' Sebastian uses towards the end there.
It sums up nicely what he really wants from her.

I can answer them, Vorlons don't hold a candle to some more confusing energy beings like the O-Rhuen. LoL.
1: I am, Who and what I am is the same, we are Rhuen, the Rhuen is one, the Rhuen is fragmented. Rhuen is.
2: Existance, experience, wanting, needing, these are not words they are times to the Rhuen.
3: because if I wasn't I wouldn't
4: As the folds bend.
