  • i've seen this on ''really big things'' on disovery channel :P

  • ...so, for all you people who whine about "King Coal" in the USA... Go & Google-Earth Europe and bust their 'green'-balls for a "change" about coal-energy... Eurasia is awash in coal-electric power! They'd just turn their backs and fart at ya... Laughing as they fart...er, parted yer company...

  • As an equipment operator and tractor trailer driver I watch videos of these machines operate and in my mind Im thinking operating that seems about as interesting as watching paint dry. Must make for a real long feeling day.

  • That's too easy now

  • hopy shit

  • it removes up to 100 meters to get to the brown coal. a very inefficient material.

  • Its awesome to know that it only takes 2 people to work that

  • where do i get my licence 4 it at??

  • Is this machine really necessary? Seriously, someone give me a straight answer.

  • @dieselsmokeisgood

    hello

i visited just 7 days ago the area where some of those giant machines work. in the first area there isn`t any more coal and for the second big coal field they have to dig way more earth away. they have 6 excavators which can dig beetween 110000 and 240000 cubikmeters each day. and now the unbelieveable part. they have to dig away plus /minus 10 000 000 000 tonns of earth to get to the second coal!! if all diggers work 24h, 365days they need together 18 years.

  • @dieselsmokeisgood Yes, it is. Most efficient way to work in open coal mining.

  • My reaction was: See! This machine is just modern ar... Holy... (Coment!)

  • i cant imagine wut would happen if osama bin laden (srry i might have spelled it wrong) got a hold of this he would try 2 kill every1 with it

  • soo.. what's it for..? you got a mountain in your backyard you want to get rid off and then you hire these guys..?

  • If my peepee was this big... then my wife would be excavated

  • Remember when you could watch a video without having to sit through a commercial?

Remember when music videos were uploaded by users and not VEVO

Remember when all the info was to the right of the video?

Remember you could rate a video 1-5 stars?

Remember the famous yellow subscribe button?

Remember when the users controlled the site and not corporations?

Post this in every video and lets start a youtube revolution!

Thumbs up to keep at the top of the page! :)

  • how fast does that wheel stop?

  • i wish i had this in minecraft

  • I can't believe thats two statues of Liberty high

  • Coal = shit

  • Optimus Primes bigbrother.. oh lord..

  • OMG all day long : going left ... going right ... going left ...

  • This is obviously an autobot

  • damn i want one of those at my house or i would want that to be my job to operate one of those machines. bad ass i wounder how much that dude gets paid

  • How much that machine weighs 8) ???

  • @GamingSuperBoy 13,500 tons.

  • WOW, that thing is enormous! Do you know what the diameter of a single one of those buckets is?

  • it was made by communist engineers its called Colossus or Kolossus sometin like that...

  • Hey kids, wanna excavate the sand?

  • OMG that machine scears mee But its very very interessting amazing too! I love it

    Ps: im a girl :-D

  • i can stop that little machine with one hand

  • BUT will it blend?

  • Thats a BIG pizza slicer.

  • Just curious, does the driver take it home at the end of the work day?

  • so how do you charge this thing?...

  • OMG and there is no sine that says job site

  • i really wonder how much time builders spent in this?

  • @KirillKrasov Three years from inception to completion.

  • @mathiastheok - Efficient? I bet with the fuel it costs to make one spin of the shovels, you could hire an army to dig your ditches.

  • @clipwizard

It's not powered by fuel, but electricity and the costs to make the shovels spin once is nothing compared to the amount of coal one spin produces.

  • why it dig ground? what mine is this?

  • the first machine on the world whith Star Wars tecnology

  • its....its.. so big =O

  • @24preacherboy ok and what's wrong with those ppl being mexicans you fucking asshoe bitch were all the same nobody is different just our skin color you dipshit basterd

  • crazy how humans built this.

  • @MldnightCIub YA HAVE TO HAND IT TO THEM HUMANS FOR SURE......

  • Lol. You shoulda' pushed that dude in.

  • Must be bloody annoying doing work with tourists straddling all around the machine all the time.

  • WTF?!?!

  • this one is huge apparently one of the greatest engineering feats i see. How does it being transported in along distance?

  • @antonov298 Taken apart or WERY slowly!

  • the 1400 lts BWE uses a 11kv supply and transformes reduceit to 6.6 and 3.3 kvs and 440 and 220 volts for acncillars uses! these are the data that BWE in india uses

  • it uses 11kv input and has transformers bringign it down to 6.6kv and 3.3kv and 440v and 220v for further use! the main drive motor uses 6.6 kv

  • i saw this one video of a Bulldozer being scooped up and being dropped on the conveyor belt and it got stuck!

awesome vid......... is it near Cologne?

  • its yust a big bagger so what?

  • How much energy does something like this use?

  • @ZaporojitZ 20 MW

  • about 2aa batteries

  • imagine this as a transformer, we will all be fucked!

  • @mattuiop Hell yea, dont think that tho, i live in the heart of LaTrobe Valley (VIC) Australia. Im only 3 mins away from the power start which is the start of the brown coal seam, then Loy Lang is 30 mins away.... Would make a good transformer, but i think i would be the first one FUCKED LOL

  • @mattuiop lol I was just thinking the same thing

  • @mattuiop yeah man thats what im thinkin!

  • @mattuiop i thought in one of the movies it was a transformer? when the two twins fight the transformer that was made out of all the construction machines

  • @mattuiop A Transformer? How stupid are you ? go back to the TV and watch some sesamestreet again like you used to do.

  • @transploft8 only a joke, geessh

  • Is it Bagger 288?

You try to say that if I want to see this monster all I have to do is go to Germany visist the coal mine, take a walk and... that's it? No problems with guards or something?

  • I didn't realize how big that thing was until I saw the people near the end lol holy shit

  • great german engeneering :D

they are one of the few who make good stuff not crap

  • i agree, the french, italians, swiss and germans all make excellent stuff. everything from machines to cars to food.

  • I heard that it was the biggest land vehicle in the world!

  • We need a lot of those machines in America's open-pit mines and quarries.

  • my class was on a trip to Germany and on our way to Berlin we stopped near one of those coal mines and actualy had a walk around and in this monster while it was excavating coal, it was absolutely mind blowing to get near that wheel.

  • This is why Germans are awesome.

  • i thought that they are movin' a lot slower...

impressive machine i've seen some of them eastern germany... really huge

  • Its a shame that someone didn't get it on video when the BWE in Germany ate a bulldozer.

  • alot bigger than the ones i work with

  • The technical term for it is a 'Land Bastard'/.

  • isnt this the biggest land vehicle?

  • its between this and the space shuttle crawler.

  • i wana jump in one of those bucket things :P

  • Amazingly huge, complex and I bet efficient. What a beautiful work of engineering art.

  • that is fucking amazing

  • Isn't that dangerous standing that close to the edge? I imagine it's pretty unstable and all. Btw is this Germany or Australia? That really big one (largest land vehicle in the world) is in Germany.

  • Yes mate, its in Germany. No way I was getting too close to the edge, you can see a guy to the right of shot who was standing right on the edge! death wish!

  • Yeah I kinda meant him.

  • @bigredmonstatruck I work on a mine site in W.A, And the reclaimers, are basically a smaller version of this, took a walk out on the boom to the middle of the bucket whilst in operation one. pretty amazing pieces of machinery.

  • @bigredmonstatruck why death u just fall down ;D

  • Comment removed

  • @bigredmonstatruck you have to time the jump just right. in order to make the jump down, you have to press A and then B in rapid succession to use your grappling hook.

  • @jpbalkenende

It is, but the people standing near the blade were Mexicans

They are just like stray dogs here in the US.

If one were to get caught up in the bucket, it would be treated like a dead deer.

  • @jpbalkenende no that is in western australia mate

  • @nshar24 its germany

  • @jpbalkenende in australia they wouldve left you homeless if they seen you standing that close to the machine

  • I got to go on a tour of a coal mine in Dysart QLD once, you dont realise how massive these things are till you stand right below one...

  • that thing is called a bucket wheel excavator, and it is FUCKING huccge.

  • does it burn fuel or clectricity?

  • you dont burn electricity

  • Timmy and his big toys lol :)

  • I don't see any coal anywhere in the vid, looks to me like a sand and gravel pit.

  • what s the name of that monster

  • bucket wheel

  • think its the MAN Takraf RB293

  • yea we got several at our mines in texas .. i love the lignite mines .. make alot of mula

  • take a picture :)

  • did pyramits made by this machine? hahaha

  • holy shit that thing is huge
