STFU This game isn't terrible, you just suck at it. You're not even playing it properly. You only got up to level 2 before quitting like a little baby. I don't call that a review, I call that piss poor playing. I've played it and it's actually pretty damn good. The combat is tactical, the checkpoint system is old school, the stealth element works and the level of challenge is perfect. And it's not just me that's saying this, check out Armake21's Context Sensitive of the game.
I bought this after I bought Gun(which was actually good) when I got my first xbox like 6 years ago or whatever and I traded it in last year at game and the guy actually asked me to pay him to take this game off my hands.
It's a stealth game, you're supposed to pretty much be screwed if you get caught, so if you complain about the game just because of the super-hard enemies, you have nothing to complain about.
Honestly, If a terrible company didn't make this game, It would be awesome. If you ignore the bs, the idea of the game is a really good. I think another better company should remake this game like capcom. They definitely wouldn't mess it up or another company should remake it. It is worth a try

1) You'd pick up a shotgun/sniper rifle on one level but you'd have inexplicably lost it by the next level, even if you had plenty ammo. These weapons were excellent for cleaning vampire house so why would you lose them?
2) The knife required AMMO (Was supposed to be ultraviolet charges or something but a knife requiring ammo is the stupidest thing I've ever heard).
I look forward to 20 years time when AVGN reviews this:D

Underrated game. I completed it and loved it, the first few levels sucked but it really picks up half way through and the story is surprisingly good. Be patient and you can have some fun with Vampire Rain.
As far as I'm aware through videos, playing some of the levels on rental, and reading - Its a pastiche of typical "the government is evil" stories - attempting to redo Metal Gear, then the character takes a fashion tip from Splinter Cell and has a dark past that according to reviews is barely described or is mentioned scarcely, the Vampires are only slightly better than Twilight Sparklepires, and the game is not even remotely fun after a while (this I know personally). And the dialogue is cliche
Not quite. There the government want a war with night walkers so they have an excuse to destroy them all while the night walkers wish to turn the world into night walkers. However, the head night walkers have peaceful means. The story itself is actually really good, its the main thing that kept me playing. The dialogue isn't perfect but its by no means bad and there are some genuinely good plot twists.
Nice review. Never played Splinter Cell, but I thought the gameplay was stolen from something. That dark ally scene was so predictable & a typical cliche. And yes, we played & beat it. it took us like 1 FUCKING WEEK!!!!! Thankfully, my bros friend let us borrow it (shame on him for buying it). This would've better off as a movie, not a game.

I agree. The gameplay from what I see here kind of makes sense too. That enemy encounters are your worst nightmare and that the safest way to kill a vampire/zombie/whatever is from long distance and narrow straightaways. But the gameplay just seems too dull and unforgiving from what I see.
i am playing it with sneaky king, its definitely a shit frustrating game. it does have a plot line sort of, but its one so veiled in shitness and mire that i couldnt care less, something about a kid with a music box that can disappear i dont know!
i have found that if i crawl into the acid pool that the badguys drop then it sounds like you are sexing it.

now about the opening cutscene:

haha my friend bought this and we played it for ages. not fun... not interesting. the voice acting is about the only good thing because you laugh your ass off at the shittyness.
i mean the first thing u do when you play new games is press all the buttons to find out the controls. as soon as i pressed A to watch him jump i realized how fail this is. its like gravity is over 9000 to what it is on earth its just... UH! fuck.

Underrated game. I completed it and loved it, the first few levels sucked but it really picks up half way through and the story is surprisingly good. Be patient and you can have some fun with Vampire Rain.

As far as I'm aware through videos, playing some of the levels on rental, and reading - Its a pastiche of typical "the government is evil" stories - attempting to redo Metal Gear, then the character takes a fashion tip from Splinter Cell and has a dark past that according to reviews is barely described or is mentioned scarcely, the Vampires are only slightly better than Twilight Sparklepires, and the game is not even remotely fun after a while (this I know personally). And the dialogue is cliche

Not quite. There the government want a war with night walkers so they have an excuse to destroy them all while the night walkers wish to turn the world into night walkers. However, the head night walkers have peaceful means. The story itself is actually really good, its the main thing that kept me playing. The dialogue isn't perfect but its by no means bad and there are some genuinely good plot twists.

Nice review. Never played Splinter Cell, but I thought the gameplay was stolen from something. That dark ally scene was so predictable & a typical cliche. And yes, we played & beat it. it took us like 1 FUCKING WEEK!!!!! Thankfully, my bros friend let us borrow it (shame on him for buying it). This would've better off as a movie, not a game.

This is one of those games that upsets me for it's suckiness. Because it's an awesome concept, and the story actually sounds cool, but it's ruined by shitty gameplay. It's not like movie tie in games or generic bad shooters and such. The concept sounded cool.

I agree. The gameplay from what I see here kind of makes sense too. That enemy encounters are your worst nightmare and that the safest way to kill a vampire/zombie/whatever is from long distance and narrow straightaways. But the gameplay just seems too dull and unforgiving from what I see.

i am playing it with sneaky king, its definitely a shit frustrating game. it does have a plot line sort of, but its one so veiled in shitness and mire that i couldnt care less, something about a kid with a music box that can disappear i dont know!
i have found that if i crawl into the acid pool that the badguys drop then it sounds like you are sexing it.
this reviewer said "think of the worst game in your collection that hasnt aged well" (paraphrased) and i agree whole heartedly.

i am playing it on "shit game night" . . . i think we have bitten off more than we can chew. this game is sooooo bad! the heath bar is silly as you die if a night walker hits you . but you can stand in acid or take shotgun rounds for ages! then you regenerate??? what?
