Okay, I notice that there's always some ethnic bullshit being said on this site for blaxploitation flicks. "For Once In My Life" by Stevie Wonder was written by whites...so what??? One of the weaker examples of the blaxploitation genre...Monkey Hustle does not have an "empowering" theme here (i.e. Coffy, Foxy Brown)...the movie portrays blacks as simpleton, penny-ante crooks...I'm assuming that the dialogue was written by a bunch of white males and this was their interpretation of how they thought blacks talked...resulting in a caricature-like "street" dialogue. This is an example of the genre that led to the backlash against and end to blaxploitation.

sole coffy & foxy brown writer? jack hill, a white dude who wrote exploitation flicks. monkey hustle had a black writer, odie hawkins (story)... i couldn't find much about charles johnson.
