I used to be a huge fan of the Turtles, but for some reason, the novelty wore off on me. The game does look fun though. The game looks fun though.

Regardless of what you've said, TMNT II and III are likely to be on the Virtual Console, despite licensing issues. Earthbound is also likely.

Now the rest of the TMNT games, not sure.

Again great review but I kinda now see why on going turtles fans for not liking re shelled that well even though i see no problem with it....maybe cuz I havn't had the ability to play it yet, but I will say this, with That god damn Copyright Law this is why people create Roms of a god damn game for that freakin purpose, to be able to play games of the past and on going, Copyright ruins one to re release a game because of COPYRIGHT god, I hate that damn law the most of them all

And he is a reviewer. He gets payed to overanalyze Video Games. And then he writes an in-depth review, which tends to have to go against his biases and give the game exactly what it deserves. He is not hard at all, he is just doing his job. Now randomly saying games suck without any reason, that is being hard on games.

great review k-wing i really the idea of the turtle month i always want to hear what you think of the classic turtles games from our childhood and you did the review for turtles II the arcade game justice i'll be looking foward for the review of turtles in time the old-shcool version not to be confused with the crappy re-shelled version i dont blame you for not wanting to review the re shelled version that version sucks IMO

ok, im a little confused, in the first part, you said the original arcade was the second in the series but i thought it was the first. In this part you said nickelodeon had the rights to the turtles but in a previous part you said 4KIDS TV had the rights. Could someone answer my question.

No the 1st TMNT game was on the NES, based after the cartoon show, but the characters looked like the comics. It was a platforming game. The 2nd TMNT games the Arcade game. The 2nd NES TMNT game was Turtles 2 the arcade game port.

Nickelodeon owns the rights to TMNT as of this month for 60 Million. 4 Kids produced the Re shelled game with Ubisoft . WB had the rights to turtles in 2007 to 2009. I was talking past tense in the history segment.

Awesome review! I agree with you that somebody needs to get the rest of the TMNT games from our childhood onto the Virtual Console. I know Tecmo Super Bowl had to make some alterations on the NES game for the Virtual Console, and it did really well. I think that whoever obtains the rights to release the games can fix TMNT 2 on the NES because of the copyright issues. Overall, excellent start on Turtles Month, Kwing! ;D
