@TheRandomMoments2011 Didn't look to me like he was getting much water on either house, that's what I'm talking about. The hand lines could've been used to cool that house, it doesn't take as much water to protect an exposure.
@TheRandomMoments2011 Siding is cheap to replace. Put out the fire and you won't have that problem. He put more water on the grass and the chief's car than either house.
That's another problem with all of these newer houses (AKA McMansions) being built within 10 feet or less of each other. When my home was constructed back in '85, here in Western FFX, we were actually allotted a freaking yard.
I hope who ever owns this house is keeping a close eye.. I live down the street, and they have been rebuilding this house ontop of the charred remains.. the house WAS NOT demolished which is against CODE very shady on the construction companies part.
This is an example of the new challenges seen by firefighters across the country. This house looks relatively new. Look how fast it burned. Light weight construction. In the old days, the FF's might have 5-10 minute window to make an agressive attack. Not anymore. Nice job protecting the exposures.
