How are they different now? Their sound is way more now like it was on the Black album, Machine Gun, and Strawberries than their 3 album flirtation with proto-goth in the 80's. People who complain about that don't seem to get the fact that they've been changing their sound up from album to album from the start, and their mid-80's stuff was the same because David was doing most of the writing for a stretch instead of the Captain.

If you can't google "Jet Boy, Jet Girl" tab, search for "Ça plane pour moi". It's the same song. Apparently the studio thought this song was too edgy so some other band released the same song with different lyrics. The Presidents of the United States covered "Ça plane pour moi".

It was the exact same band with a different vocalist, who happened to be the record producer. Who, just to complicate matters even more, was not Plastic Bertrand. He was the designated lip syncher. fun times.

no jet boy jet girl. the only reason you say ca plane pour moi is because plastic bertrand wanted to cover this song but the lyrics were to controversial to translate so he re-wrote it. the fact that elton motello's band worked for bertrand when he recorded the song didnt help...
