Happiness is way over-rated.. I don't believe we all have that "single" goal or main goal to be happy. I try to put my "single" main goal as doing only what's right and good regardless of being happy or sad. Happiness seems more like a distraction in this religion. A distraction from doing something bad? Not the right way... it wouldn't be genuine. Yeah, I hate it when people claim happiness is "the" goal in life. Most of you people are like that (sigh)

I think you missed what I said. Survival means nothing and to "live forever" also means nothing. All that matters is doing what's right regardless of anything else. You learn enough about your own mind to understand and have compassion for others. So you learn not to let others determine your emotions, and can remain peaceful when dealing with negative situations and people. As a result, you become more joyful.

Nuns in Tibet do peaceful protests because they cannot practice their religion as they want to.

But the chinese communist party does not like protests at all because protests in Tibet show the world that the chinese communist party is not at all popular with Tibetans in Tibet.

Perhaps the communist party thinks that if they treat nuns very badly in prison it will discourage other nuns or Tibetans from doing protests in the future. And a dead nun cannot have a child.
