  • one time i caught an 18lb walleye in my bathtub

  • nice fish man what a beast.....stop by and check out some lures i have been working on

  • Nice catch! Guys

  • Here on Erie we see fish in that size range with bigger bellies....Nowhere near 16lbs...

One this year 32" with 19" of girth just a touch below 12lbs.

Last year one 32.5" 21" of girth was 12.5lbs...

A really nice fish here...but lets not get carried away....Id throw that cheap boga grip in the lake...

  • @JLRhino911 I agree with all of that.......nice fish tho

  • @JLRhino911 I have a really accurate formula that puts it at a bit over 14 pounds. It's a nice fish but that scale is reading heavy. I think your scale is reading light. Your 32.5 x 21 is heavier than 12.5 Maybe if you and them fished together you could use both scales and average them.

  • @fishinwflies

No this was done certified scaled during a fishing tourney this was also weight after fish was swimming in cooler on ice for a few hours so it probably did lose some water weight...Store bought scales are generally always off...No need for a formula here...take fish...place on scale...it is what it is...

  • @JLRhino911 Then you mismeasured it. A 33 x 20.25 comes out to about 16.

  • EAT THAT SUCKER!

  • @johnny22190 you eat the small ones dumbass the big ones are the females and help keep the populations up for future generations

  • what state was that

  • 10 pounds tops...for that carp...16 pounds...I dont think so! dream on!

  • @DK0526 you fail.

  • @3l1t355 hehehehehehe

  • @3l1t355 I'll gut some for you too!

  • I would have eaten it on a stick.

  • Quit yapping you cunts... who gives a shit if it's 15 or 16 lbs or where it's caught in the US or Canada... That's a beautiful fish.

  • Comment removed

  • Amazing fish! What were you using? Phenomenal fishing, where were you?

  • EVERY NEGATIVE COMMENT IS ENVY AND JEALOUSY OR PURE ignorance

  • @tloiselle2

your an idiot... the measurements given were 32 inch length and 20 inch gurth... in a walleye weight calculator that makes it just under 14lbs... 16 is BS and making people believe that they got a 16 pound walleye is wrong...

  • @ROOSNUTZ those calculators are always right? your ignorant

  • @the0medicine0man your an ass

how many walleye over 10 pounds have you caught??? i get a handfull of walleye over 10 pounds every year... i knot what trophy fish weigh and look like... im just saying its an awsome fish but i get mad when people take a great catch and ruin it by streeeeetching the truth to make it a 1 in a million catch... just my opinion... dont have to cry about it

  • @ROOSNUTZ I caught 17 ten pounders yesterday but I gutted them and sent em floaten!

  • @ROOSNUTZ and idiot wow grow the fuck up

  • @tloiselle2 never mind I watched one of your vid you look like a freakin tard what ever you say means nothing have fun working the mill the rest of your pathetic life " shittalker"

  • DK0526 ur fuckin stupid thats def not a carp it is for sure a walleye

  • thats a carp

  • @DK0526 omg pull your head out of your ass carp look nothing like that wow

  • @tloiselle2 well ya a photoshopped carp

  • @DK0526 ya your so funny carp have no teeth and giant scales watch the vid again

  • @tloiselle2 a mere simple trick for photoshop

  • @DK0526 and you're an idiot

  • @hardkilla don't hate the messenger...It show that you may be frustrated and hate yourself

  • Comment removed

  • @DK0526 i hate the messenger for calling it a carp and you are probably dumb enough to try and teach people that its a carp also next time try not to use psychology because its shows you know nothing about it

  • @hardkilla Not true I have sen fish like this all the time...I just gut them and toss them back...cuz dats how I roll!

  • @DK0526 you are so stupid that i dont even want to justify you with a response

  • @hardkilla hehehheheheh

  • @DK0526 dumbest fuck alive you are

  • @leafsfan234 hehhehhe I just gutted and released another one of these carps...I dedicated it to you as it floated belly up down the river!!!! hahahhahahahahhah

  • @leafsfan234 Yoda you are my friend, Carps for you I kill, thankful you are!

  • ever phony, that took 20 seconds to reel in and it didn't even fight when they got it in the boat. And those fat blubbery fish they catch in polluted american waters shouldn't even count in any record books

  • @juzu4me wow you have some personal issues that was a beautiful fish and are you a biologist because all waters around the world are polluted. and pollution stunts fish growth so if anything it would be smaller dumb-ass. 20 sec its a youtube video with time limits wow you just stuck your foot in your mouth

  • @juzu4me let me guess your canuck canada waters are full of walleye A that size so grow up and go catch one and stop bashing when your jealous A

  • Also @walleye191 you want him to just hold it by the stomach and tail having a less secure grip where it makes it easier for the fish to flop out of his hands and hit the deck of the boat 4 ft down bruising it's sides and causing MORE damage? That fish lived. Jeeze people don't quit your day jobs.

  • @Hoytdownsouth he was not holding it "by the gills" he was holding where the gill plate meets the mouth. You think if he was holding the gills we would have seen the weight of that fish drop and the only thing left in his hands would have been a pile of red organ.

  • Great job. Awesome fish man.

  • Great job guys. That's enviable. Wonderful catch, and thank you for releasing. Master anglers are too valuable to be caught just once. Friend me?

  • walleye191 your absolutly wrong before you judge people do your homework you idiotnice handling and release thats a monster

  • Too bad that fish swam down to the bottom and died. You can see how this moron was holding the fish with one hand by the gills when the fish flopped. That is when the gill cover tore from the gills. You could see the blood in the water when he released it. Oh well, he thinks he's a hero for releasing it. A big fish like that should NEVER be held by the gills.

  • gosh i caught a 10 pounder yesterday and thought it was big

  • I just cleaned a 5 lb 5 ounce male walleye...it charted at 10 plus years old...the meat was yellow full of cartilaginous fat. I thought it was a female until I cleaned it...if I had known I would have released it. I am not keeping any fish over 5lb anymore. Is there a surefire way to tell males from females without cleaning them? Because 5lb female might only be 5 or 6 and might have been acceptable table fare.

  • You are the perfect example of a sportsman practicing catch and release. Beautiful Walleye, too big to eat so back it goes! Was that a Fire Tiger Shad Rap?

  • thats my dad....... not really....... he sounds lke him oh my godd!!!! *then starts to laugh* my dad is obssesed with fishing!!!! any wayz nice fish!!!!!

  • nice job, a true fisherman..

  • Very nicely done and you should be commended for the release- replica's are the way to go in this day and age to keep the breeding stock intact!

  • Great looking fish!!!!

  • you can fish your whole life and not catch a eye like that good job. That is freaking amazing you let that thing go I am a strong believer in catch in release myself.

  • Holy bat shit batman!!

  • Hey Seth, I watch your show whenever I can. Being a fellow Seth I belive the name has to do with the outdoors sucess lol But serously awsome fish. Makes me ready for the run on the Fox over here in Cheeseland (WI)

  • Wow I wish nice fis NICE....................

  • JOHN!, JOHN! JOHN!

  • yummy

  • did you keep the walleye i hope

  • sweet fish. i've only ever caught one walleye in my life and it was 29 inches long and 9.5 lbs

  • i caught a walleye about 30 to 35 five inch at glendale lake in pa the other day i didnt no what i had so i put it back i thought they got a lot bigger

  • not 16 lbs. dude try again.

  • I have been fishing walleye for 20 years in the columbia and in numerous lakes in washington. Last year I landed a walleye 321/2 inches long and almost 19 inches round. The fish weighed in at 13 lbs 4 ounces on my professional scale. It looked like the same size as this fish.

  • outstanding! truely inspirational thanks for posting

  • if you notice at the beginning of the clip the guy has a jacket on. then the camera moves to the side and then he doesnt have it on. the beginning part is a different segment that the last

  • @WhitetailMan2011 Hahaha well done, man! I am in no way claiming that this particular video was staged, but some tv shows actually have the fish pre-caught before shooting ( most of the time from neighboring fish farms ), they solidly put the hook on it and throw it at the water and they begin to shoot. I know it because I actually saw that happening when a tv crew came to our territory. In this video they might have acted at first because they didn't shoot when he hooked it up but who knows?

  • @SuperRednecks

I fish lake erie and its tributaries and 30"+ fish are not a rarity. 33's and 34's come out of there or the spawning rivers every year. Great Lakes and Ontario are where its at.

  • A good rule of thumb is to add a pound for every inch over 20 inches. This will almost always get you within 1" +/-. The fish was only 32 lbs. I've seen two walleye in my life just over 14 lbs. and they were very similar in size to this fish. 16 lbs is BS.

  • well what if these guys are big, in a big boat, and big lures, so maybe it was

  • 33 inch walleyes are quite possible

  • i have caught a wall that was 33 inches long and 20 inches around and it was 17 punds so i can believe that this fish is 16

  • bull shit if you caught a walleye that was 33 inches than i have cows flying out of my butt

  • @SuperRednecks uh yea actually i did y wouldent u believe me????

  • I love walleys, my biggest was 34" 17lbs.

Caught her last fall, fat from eating shads.

  • Thats a monster walleye great video!

  • my biggest is 12 lbs

  • you guys cantlook at a video and picture and tell a person what the walleye weighs it decieving they are alot bigger in person

  • dude...im 6 foot 4 inches tall and weigh 250lbs...i know about fish looking small in a photo...im going on the info that it was 32 inches wich is probably about 12 maybe 14 if its fat

  • Honestly looks like 16lbs..I catch 8-11 lbs out of Ashtabula, OH approx. 17-24 miles out trolling dipsy divers...

  • Looks like a legit 16, although its not the biggest on film. I've seen at least two bigger on film myself out of Manitoba and I'm sure theres more.

  • probably caught in Europe

THey're walleye get to 19 LBS!!!!

  • my biggest was 24 inces but i dont walleye fush anymore

  • Yeah i may have to also call bs on the weight. My biggest ever caught was over 9 lbs and it was about 30 inches. It was a male, but still.

  • yeah... i say bs on the weight... i caught a fat 34 inch and it weighed 14lbs... yours was only 32 inch

  • that doesnt mean a thing. I caught a 27inch walleye and it only weighed 5.3lbs a normal 27 inch walleye is what around 6 to 7lbs. look how fat that eye is

  • still man my 34 inch was a fatty and it weighed 14... anyways i got better things to do than argue about the weight of your fish...nice catch either way

  • tell me where you catch these so called "34 inch" walleyes a 17 pound eye would be a state record in mn so tell me where you are from

  • @SuperRednecks

i fish the st.lawrence river in ontario canada...im 24 and ive caught at least six walleye over 10 lbs and two musky over 50 inches...53 and 53.5...a 7.5 lb - 24 inch smallmouth....an 8 lb largemouth and a 36lb 12oz carp...i think we got "overall" one of the top fisheries in the world on a multispecies scale

  • @ROOSNUTZ ya thats where i have done alot of my fishing to in the brockville area and i have caught lots of walleye there and the bass fishin is crazy some of the nicest bass i have caught

  • I'm a huge advocate of catch and release of big walleyes but im not sure if i could have let that monster go...

  • WOW!!! That was an EYE POPPING Fish! what you catch him on! 5 stars! easy

  • 11.5 lbs

  • 12lbs not a 0z more, there is no way that walleye went 16lbs....i call bs....but its still a nice eye,

  • I just caught a 12lb walleye and that fish was much bigger. 16lbs easy IMO

  • WOW nice Walleye and way to go on catch and release if it was'nt for guys like us there would be no big ones like that for someone else to enjoy:)

  • I would have sex with that walleye

  • kill spammers. Keep usnet authentic.

  • wat time at night was this at im a first time walleye fisher and wanna know the basics of walleye fishing and like wat times are best to go

  • 10 lbs. bigger than my biggest walleye

  • "cant hurt this fish" he says...yet at one point it was hanging by a single gill...16lb hanging off one gill....this IS risking injury...

  • nice fish man!

  • how do you measure girth?

  • Huge walleye but whats with the horror music

  • I just picked up about $200 worth of Rapalas. Most of that was on the X-Rap, the X-Rap Shad, and the Glass Shad Rap. The X-Rap works best in Black and Silver and Shad, The X-Rap Shad is a killer in Clown and Shad, and the Glass Shad Rap is best in White and Black Shad. I got some other colors and different lures too but these are the ones I use most often where I'm from.

  • That there is a fookin walrus!

  • I have the same bait

    the thing looks great,

I cant wait to use it....

  • hey were did you catch that

  • Of cousre i would of eated too lol

  • that was massive. he must have been using a heavy pound test because it didnt fight long. i love night fishing thats when the big ones feed.

  • thats a nice fish but check out my vidoe response's Ithink you will like them

  • I don't know, I probably would have mounted him. Thats a huge walleye, nice!

  • Uhm holly fuck...

  • what lure did you catch that on?

  • Rapala Glass Shad Rap, size #7. I use that size for river Salmon when that opportunity to fish a long deep hole arises. The "Ghost" pattern has been most sucessful.

  • thank god u released it

  • and why is that fruit cake? i would have ate that thing up

  • glad you released it...those big ones are the mommas!!

  • Hey Seth, awesome fish... I fish the Columbia alot too, Banks Lake, etc. I just landed a fish that was 32" 21" girth almost a twin, congrats!

  • You only have to keep your fish if your getting a skin mount... all u need to get a replica mount are the measurements, weight, and a picture.

  • thats a big walleye. good thing you let it go

  • Sweet guys, and you even let it go nice.

  • I was wondering when season opens on the Columbia. I lived out in Oregon for a long time then moved to Minnesota. Minnesota walleyes are nice but I've heard a lot lately about the CR monsters. I'm heading out there for spring break in March and hoping to do some fishing. Let me know please.

  • Nice Guys

  • Nice" make's me wanna pull out tha trust St.Criox...

  • why didn't you mount it???!! i would have in a second..

  • he did thats why he took the measurements of the length and girth

  • So is he getting a replica mount or what?

  • that would be irresponsible, walleye populations are on the low side, the bigger ones are the breeders, if you go fishing you do it for fun because hoarding mass amounts of fish serves no purpose, and if you do keep them do so responsibly . Fish in the 12 inch range are the best for eating anything bigger than 16-17 should be let go

  • Wow, I'm from MN and I've seen my share of big wally'zz. That was unbelievable!! Good thing your bud had that trusty cam ready. I know no one would believe me. Taylor.

  • you are my hero, even though Tennessee still holds the record, Old Hickory Lake.

  • that guy would be on my wall

  • Hello pachayking,

I am having a replica of that fish mounted. I am a strong believer in releasing the big brood stock females. I want my children and grandchildren to enjoy the same fishery that I have enjoyed.

    Thank you,

    Seth Burrill

  • Much respect to that.

  • @AnglersXperience

funny story, studies have shown that the "peak" spawning of walleye is 5-8lbs and by the time they get that big they just eat, shit, and swim

  • @choclabmax yup once they get that big they have spread there genes so many times it would of been fine to keep that monster. it would of gave other fish a chance

  • @AnglersXperience dude, get your fingers out of its gills! releasing it doesnt mean a thing if you stick your fingers in its gills, the equivalent of our lungs. How long do you think you would survive if I stuck my hand down your throat and squeezed your lungs a few trimes?

Learn to handle a fish properly before you pat yourself on the back on releasing it to a probable death :(

  • @Hoytdownsouth lol ignorant american

  • @apbhitman ignorant american wow i guess all you canucks are just so perfect. Fuck u asshole you the ignorant one. you think all americans are the same so that makes YOU a PREJUDICE ASS

  • @Hoytdownsouth you can't compare lungs to gills....they are completely different,,,,the only similarity is that they both absorb oxygen....gills absorb o2 through passing water and are not protected by a ribcage and enclosed by skin and muscle.....thats the only way to handle a walleye that size with any certainty it wont fall....the gills barely get grazed and the fish is fine....be happy he released it with a good effort to keep it alive

  • Nice!

  • manitoba holds big walleye i was with a guy that caught a 34 inch there was so much big 10+ pounders in made the news then people across the states travaled here just to fish them heres a link.

  • Hello peg204city,

A 34" walleye is a giant. I have not fished Manitoba yet but it is definately on my to do list. Many fisherman travel to the Columbia river much as they do to Manitoba. Our fishery remaind fairly low key until a few years ago. I welcome other anglers to our neck of the woods all that I ask is that they release the big females.

    Thank you,

    Seth

  • @peg204city thats exactly why you never release the info that you have caught a big fish, then the lake/river is ruined by overfishing

  • 16lbs what a pig! And back in the water. I do the same with the big females. The 16" to 18" fish are better eaters. Nice vid thanks!

  • Hello Jettronix,

That walleye was caught on the Columbia River in Washington state. The Columbia is home to some of the largest walleye in the country.

    Thank you for the comment,

    Seth Burrill

  • I caught three little guys today but nothing compared to that giant spikey bastard.

  • HUUUUUUGE. Nice fish, my biggest is 10.5 pounds, 31" long

  • Hello markyd24,

A 10.5lb walleye is a trophy for anybody. That is a great fish.
