If you take the basic U.S Army soldier and the basic US Marine Corps soldier then yes, the USMC soldier probably will do better (The USMC have longer training, right? I do not know for sure since I live in Sweden).

The early USMC role was to act as infantry aboard ships. Infantry = Soldiers.
And just to shatter your world a little, the USMC training is a joke. In Sweden the shortest training program to become a Marine is 8 months long.

When the Soviet Union came to Afghanistan, they fought against the enitre Mujahideen, not just the Taliban and smaller extremist groups. You also seem to be ignoring the fact that the Mujahideen was supported by your country, The United States of America. And when the Soviet Union fought that war 20-30 years ago, they did not have UAV's and other extremly high-tech gear that the coalition forces have today in Afghanistan.

Like I said earlier dumbass, Sweden have many different types of Marines. And Force Recon is not the equivalent of Kustjägarna, and unfortunately, I do not know what is. I do however know what isn't the equivalent of Kustjägarna, and Force Recon is one of them.
Defeating an enemy that is inferiour to yourself is nothing to brag about. That is what happened in WW1, WW2 and Korea. And you were not even alone in defeating your enemies in those wars, not even close.
We have not faced any superior foe in the last 200 years (exept for the Soviets in WW2, but that was not official since it was only volunteers) because we have not officially been at war in the last 200 years.

And there is no such thing as "JUST" a soldier. Try saying that to a Green Beret or Delta Force operative, I dare you. USMC and US Army are all soldiers. U.S Navy are Sailors and U.S Airforce are Airman/Airmen.

If you take the basic U.S Army soldier and the basic US Marine Corps soldier then yes, the USMC soldier probably will do better (The USMC have longer training, right? I do not know for sure since I live in Sweden).

The early USMC role was to act as infantry aboard ships. Infantry = Soldiers.
And just to shatter your world a little, the USMC training is a joke. In Sweden the shortest training program to become a Marine is 8 months long.

The USMC have not met a superior enemy in the last 111 years so referring to USMC history is pathetic.
The non-infantry of the USMC such as pilots will be called USMC Pilot/Aviator or similar. You don't call a USMC pilot a marine now do you?

When the Soviet Union came to Afghanistan, they fought against the enitre Mujahideen, not just the Taliban and smaller extremist groups. You also seem to be ignoring the fact that the Mujahideen was supported by your country, The United States of America. And when the Soviet Union fought that war 20-30 years ago, they did not have UAV's and other extremly high-tech gear that the coalition forces have today in Afghanistan.

Like I said earlier dumbass, Sweden have many different types of Marines. And Force Recon is not the equivalent of Kustjägarna, and unfortunately, I do not know what is. I do however know what isn't the equivalent of Kustjägarna, and Force Recon is one of them.
Defeating an enemy that is inferiour to yourself is nothing to brag about. That is what happened in WW1, WW2 and Korea. And you were not even alone in defeating your enemies in those wars, not even close.

We have not faced any superior foe in the last 200 years (exept for the Soviets in WW2, but that was not official since it was only volunteers) because we have not officially been at war in the last 200 years.
But that is not important because I never said that the Swedish Armed Forces is better in any way. I just said that the USMC training is a joke compared to the Swedish Marine training and that Force Recon is not the equivalent of Kustjägarna.
