  • When I was little I used to sit up in the Balcony of the church, my dad is a Pastor and if my mom had to work at the hospital on sundays that is where I sat, I remember watching the Organ player play every note, this video takes me back to those days of quietly sitting on the bench next to her while she played the postlude. This video shows such an Amazing skill, and has re-inspired me to use this as my postlude at my wedding next year. Thank you very much for sharing!

You're welcome. Thanks for viewing and your comments.

    Greetings from NJ.

(Like your YT video night flight over Madison - you must be instrument certified?)

    Cheers,

    Wayne

  • @joenwayne I'm working on my instrument, that was actually my first night flight when I was working toward my private license :) Thanks!! Its a Blast to fly! Thank you again for posting this video!

  • Beautiful! In which temperament is the organ tuned? It sounds beautiful for Haendel!

  • @skyriver83 Thanks for viewing and your kind comments.

The organ is tuned in equal temperament. There is a tierce mixture on the Swell which can give a rather pungent addition to the sound.

  • good job!

  • @organ66 Thanks for your comment and for viewing. Greetings to you in Germany from New Jersey, USA.

  • I am assuming that this is a real pipe organ and not a digital organ? It sounds great!

  • @patsaxon

That is correct - not a single digit in it!

Thanks for your comments and for viewing.

    Cheers,

  • @sk8er1979 even just listening is amazing!

  • @sk8er1979 You're welcome!

    Cheers,

  • Nicely played, by the way.

  • @istgone Thank you.

  • I've only ever played on a drawknob console; stop tabs frighten me, to be honest.

  • @istgone They don't bite.

  • @joenwayne I'm so accustomed to pulling stops, it would never work.

  • @istgone I have played both. Early E.M. Skinner consoles were rocker tablets. The stops and divisions are laid out the same. Might take a little extra time during practice. The pistons are universal. When in doubt, preset!

  • i got the notes for all the organ parts in the oratorio but i dont know where this march is? can you help me is it just at the end? nr 58?

  • @akoljrkdsf To the right of the video click "more info" - that's all of the information I have.

    Thanks for viewing.

  • I like this a lot too. Not withstanding G.F.'s penchant for borrowing and recycling music (his own or others - allegedly), this is the victory march from Judas Maccabeus - comes just after "See, here, the conquering hero comes", is it not?

  • @ad31677 Correct. Thanks for viewing and your comments.

Greetings to you in the UK from New Jersey, USA.

  • Great ! i'm seduced at first listening, because of the wonderful chords and rythm on 0;25 .

It's rare for me to be caught the first time .

    Thanks for posting :)

  • This is my second time to reply to you regardiing your fine talent. I so wish that you would do a recording on a CD where it could be be purchaced, as I find it extremely difficult to locate the Handel "March" from Judas Maacabeaus on the pipe organ. I hav

Greetings to you in the UK from New Jersey, USA.

  • Played very well, I probably would've added a trompette or at least a chorus reed on the manuals, but to each his own!

  • Thanks for your comments and for viewing.

  • amazing! is it hard o play with your hands and feet? because i'm 14 and i'm so interested in playing :)

  • Get a good foundation by becoming proficient in piano. Then find a good organ teacher.

Thanks for your comments and for viewing.

  • it just seems so fun to play such beautiful music :) and i am taking a piano class for high school but it's next semester :(

  • This is my very favorite piece on the pipeorgan and you play it so beautifully...with gusto!! I love it. Do you have a cd of it and other things that you play on this order? Thank you, Jane Guitar

  • Thank you for your kind comments and for viewing. I don't have a CD, but there are lots of things of mine on YouTube.

  • I composed a simple march based on one phrase of this magnificent work, not as an intentional task, but quite the opposite - a wild, sudden notion.

  • Wayne another great preformance by you job well done that is a nice piece

  • Thanks for viewing and your kind comments.

  • hey there where did you get the music from? OH and amazing performance

  • To the right of the video click "more info" and it has full details.

  • I don't finish to listen to....i 'm crying for the beauty of the Hande'l music....in this case performed by the organ. I know all Handel's oratorios and operas.Unfortunately in Italy Handel is rarely performed. We are a country without musical culture.INCREDIBLE!

    Thanks again!

    Sergio

  • Hi Sergio,

Thank you for viewing and your kind comments. I saluti da USA a Italia.

  • Perfect!

  • Thank you!

  • GRAZIE!!!!!MERAVIGLIOSO!!!!!

  • Ringraziarla per osservare ed i suoi commenti. I saluti da USA a Italia.

  • Interesting that the instrument you play is not a big one, dimensionally speaking, but with pleasant full organ sonority. I took a glance at its disposition and found that there's a considerable quantity of solo stops, remarkably flutes.

Could you make a video showing, for example, the Cornopean? In my country, Brazil, we have no instrument with this stop, and very rare ones have the classical Krummhorn.

    Greetings

    Marcelo

  • One of my videos uses the Cornopean - a trumpet-like sound. I don't remember which video, but I'll check and let you know.

Obrigado para ver e seus comentários. As saudações dos EUA a Brasil.

  • Lovely.

  • Thank you!

  • Absolutely beautiful. I have been looking everywhere for this peice.

  • Thank you!

  • Excellent playing on a fine organ. The console looks to be an Austin.

  • Yes, Austin console. To the right of the video click "More info" and the organ specification is there. 90% is original 1918 Steere. Thanks for viewing and your comments.

  • Superb! Playing the organ for all its got! Whoohoo!!

  • Exquisite! Want to get this one too for Weddings

  • Great sound and performance! Do you know if i can find this music on any copyright-free on-line database?

  • I'm playing from a collection of "Wedding Music" published by Concordia Publishing House, so I haven't searched the web for an on-line version. I would guess that you can find one on the internet.

Thank you for your comments and for viewing.

  • If you go to the Wikipedia article on George Frideric Handel, near the bottom of the article are links to online repositories which have free copies of Handel's music. Look through those sites for the March from Judas Maccabeus.

  • Very full sounding organ, and played beautifully.

  • Thank you!
