haha birds do that all the time. I just sit in my living room in the afternoon and the birds just fly into the glass on our back door. But none of them have ever died the just fly away. And squirrels jump on the glass too and make a loud noise.

Our house has so many huge windows that are very open looking and birds fly into them all the time. Sometimes, if they are lucky, they just fly away but sometimes they just die. But what I hate the most is when they hurt themselves so badly they just lie there kind of twitching and slowly dying. I cry every time that happens, seriously. I feel so sorry for them.
Oh I know, I was actually ''glad'' that we live so high, so the fall killed it if the hit didn't, so it didn't just lie there and twitch. I couldn't bare that!
We have a huge picture window in our bedroom and this happens about once a month for us. Always sad but think of it this way....you made a video about the poor guy. When else would he have had the chance for a YouTube debut? It is his one and only debut but either way. RIP.
I've had that happen too, it is the weirdest thing. I also had a humming bird get trapped between my 2 open window panes before. I got the little thing out and he was fine. It was cool holding a humming bird though.
A bird just flew into our glass sliding door today and sadly killed itself :( R.I.P.

I think sometimes strong sun disorientates them. Plus if the glass is sparkling clean the bird doesn't realise it's glass.
