  • @SandyReis1 - During communism they were not talking about CZAR and his family ,

but after especially now they are revising all that happened.

  • Moi xena, I love you wherever you are! I would that I didn't have to leave you to perform my noble duties, yet I know in my heart that you are still my beloved, faithful and true. Time shall see us and our family reunited when these evil men have been brought to justice! Until that day, just know that I love you my queen and that you will always remain the Empress of my Heart! Give my children a kiss from their father and tell them I miss them dearly! Forever yours, your King Unknown.

  • there is 1 communist that didn't like of the video...

  • how did u make the photos become colourful,as during those times there were only b&w??

  • I didnt know they all had blue eyes........

  • @Dapplepool1 Yes they did, i think Tatiana's were grey though.

  • @joyann1 Thanks! Yeah i also think Tatiana's eyes are grey too because in every picture it looks grey.:)

  • @Dapplepool1 They did not. Tsar Nicholas II had Hazel eyes.

  • @1toscany Tsar Nicholas II definitely had Blue eyes.

  • @joyann1 No he did not! Read the book written by Queen Marie of Romania (1935), she describes his eyes as hazel. This is just another ploy of people who did not know the Romanov's. Her mother was Grand Duchess Marie Alexandrovna. I think she knew the color of her frequent visitor cousin's eyes. They were not blue.

  • @1toscany Any other books where that's written? In Letters between Him and Alix she kept writing about his blue eyes. Lot's of family members and servants described his eyes as a blue as well. Please check your recourses again, because you were informed incorrectly.

  • @joyann1 I am an Imperial Russian historian, and work with a Russian Princess. What you are hearing is inaccurate. Queen Marie of Romania was his cousin. Tsar Nicholas II eyes were hazel. Read her book instead of listening to people who really do not know. You are very young. I am old enough to be your grand father and I am still teaching.

  • @1toscany Your age or profession doesn't make your statement any more valid.

I guess you didn't find any other books that described his eyes as hazel brown.

Oh right... You are that person that still think Anna Anderson was Anastasia. if a DNA test can't convince you, then so can't my words or literature that tell us about Nicholas his oh so deep blue eyes.

  • @joyann1 green or "hazel" are recessive; both parents have give the offspring the genetic code for green eyes. Blue are dominant over green; both parents can give the codes for blue eyes OR one parent's code for blue eyes trumps the other parents code for green eyes. But, brown eyes are the dominant gene over both colors. So, if one parent provides the genetic codes for brown eyes then it would not matter if the other parent provided code for any other color. Marie knew her cousins eyes!

  • @1toscany Ehm.... I believe most sources claim Nicholas II's eyes were blue... And I have not read anything else, also memory can play tricks on a person(even when you are closely related... The years can trick memories).

  • @DandysTrades @DandysTrades If you read the book of his cousin, Queen Marie of Romania (daughter of Grand Duchess Marie Alexandrovna), written in 1934, you will find her personal documentation of the contrary. She blatantly spells out the word "hazel". I have researched and investigated this family for as long as you are old, young lady. Please sight a source and I can write them of their error. I have already written your AP wizard. Anything else?

  • Two thumbs up ! Thanks

  • What is the name of the piece of music being played in this video and who is the composer? Thanks!

  • The Bolsheviks need not have killed them. They could have just taken away the governing powers from the Romanovs and could have installed them as "figure heads of the state" , giving them a fitting pension. Or they could have sent them in exile. Killing them, especially the beautiful daughters, was totally unnecessary.

  • They were elegant, refined, opulent, wealthy and dignified. They were wealthy when many were poor and disgruntled. They seem to have been a loving family who enjoyed and cherished one another. Such a tragedy! Too bad things could not have been different. The communists screwed things up, but at least the legend of the Romanov dynasty lives on.

  • what is this music?

  • what is this music?

  • A beautiful montage. Thankyou. The more I see of this family the more fascinated I become. More please.

May they all rest in peace.

  • R.I.P. Holy family...

  • Photogenic children

  • Tsar Nicholas could have saved the dynasty; he could have saved Russia from the darkness of communism but he was weak and indecisive; he lacked vision. He had advisors but chose to ignore them. All he had to do was model the dynasty on his British cousins. He was an autocrat and his whole family suffered as a result. A tragedy.

  • The daughters were so pretty. O_O

  • that was the best presentation I've seen yet. Thankyou for the coloured pics! The Romanovs would have LOVED it .

  • a beautiful family.........

  • i want to visit Tsarskoe Selo, can anyone tell me how to get there?

please because i love the Romanov's.

  • @890buddha

you can do it trough a traveling agency or go with a friend/ family.

Its very handy to have someone with you who speaks russian because allot of russians don't speak english or just don't want to.

  • Holy Mother Russia :'(

  • SO TRUE

  • If The Romanovs hadn't been murdered they may have eventually ruled as a constitutional monarchy like England. So much pain and needless suffering would have been avoided. Perhaps someday Russia will have a constitutional monarchy....Who knows?

  • Never. Nicholas had signed a constitution in 1905 but refused to abide by it. No wonder George V wouldn't help him.

  • Long live the imperial family!

  • Невозможно отвести глаз...

  • Muy buen video!!!

Me impresionaron mal las fotos!!! guuua!!!

  • What was the song on this video, before it got censored?

  • come back my friends

  • бесконечно прекрасные

  • How different things might have been if it wasn't for that hideous, demonic figure, rasputin, playing off the weakness of a mothers love for her child.

rasputin was the true enemy of Russia, not the Romanovs.

    Great video, very touching!

  • song fits perfect.

  • on 1:34 is that really Olga, tatiana, maria and anastasia picture when they are older? just wondering

  • yes it is :)

  • Beautiful video, and fantastic song :)

  • lovely music...so bautyful and same time so sad.awesome!

  • Icant believ it was 90 years ago! I used to work with a 24 year old Russian girl and she said people in Russia know nothing about the Romanovs and Russian history isnt encouraged there. It is amazing how the world and Russia has changed. I hope in 2018, there will be a ginormous, special tribute to them in Russia and all over the world. They were good people and thats what they should be remebered for!

  • people in Russia know very well of the Romanovs, they have statues and tributes to them, they are respected like saints.

  • As they should be

  • I'm not russian and i'm half korean, i just like Romanov family history. I wish i can visit russia.

  • This is so true. I went to Tsarskoe Selo in October and asked a guide at Catherine Palace if Alexander Palace was open that day and she said she didn't know, and why would anyone want to go there anyway? I was floored. Your hopes are a wee bit high for 2018, I fear. :( I'll be there with a candle, anyone with me? :)

  • @RomanovMartyrs i'll be there with you ;)

  • @SandyReis1

I agree with you. They may not have been great rulers, but they were a strong and loving family. That's why I admire them so much.

  • @SandyReis1 The romanovs were not good people...

while they played and had fun and went on days out ordinary russians starved to death.

    Think about that

  • @04mucklowd same thing happened during the Communist regime, im not saying what happened at the time the tsar's ruled makes that ok, but still the same happened, whats the difference?

  • @SandyReis1

Lot of young people know great deal about them. I admire the Romanoffs' genious beauy and nobility. But one shouldn't stay blind in romantic allures. Bloody Sunday, participation in the World Was 1, where the Russians were a cannon fodder. A leader, having true sympathy for his people wouldn't allow a single life to die in the war which didn't aim at the defence of its people. Take off pink glasses. Find the number of the kiiled for no reason when beautiful Romanoffs had pleasures

  • Tomorow 17. jlyis 90-th anniversary of Nicolay and his famly death. They were killed by comunist bastards in 17-th jully 1918....

  • A beautiful video. Thanks for posting this. Even I had never seen some of these photos before.

  • We need to make Romanov videos with HAPPY SONGS. They werent depressed people. They were horribly killed but I dont think they would want to be remembered with sad songs. Great video!

  • i know what you mean and do agree - but;

personally all i feel is an incredible sadness!

  • but we feel sad for what they have went through we have every right to use sad songs to show we miss them

  • GREAT VID!!!I love those photos...

  • joyann1

  • shity commies stole our Past ! Saint Tsar lives in our hearts

  • @Zoya9may They were related , cousins..

  • The tsarinia was mostly german. But she was the queen of Russia so she was Russian by Marriage. Lovely Video.
