  • i wish people realized that when they hit they just tap in real life they would punch and knock the f*** out of their opponent so yes it would work in real fights

  • It's not what art you train it's how you train.

  • They should tryout jiujitsu, kyukshin karate, muay thai ,boxing some real shit not this hollywood shit.

  • Bullshit!

  • crappy choreographed traditional martial arts suck shit and don't work in high stress situations like a street fight and are not based off natural movements thus are close to impossible to execute in a street fight.

  • It seems like everyone after watching the UFC believes MT and BJJ are the infallible arts. I train in Kenpo, San Shou, and other arts...since 1984, there is no such thing as a ultimate art.........

  • i agee, there is no ultimate art.

    everyone has pros and cons,

MT and BJJ are just the best MM geard for cage fighting,

  • ca dechire les bras en tout cas et tout le reste d'ailleurs!!!

  • looks like kempo

  • Kajukenbo and Kenpo are all from the same family tree

    Mitose...Chow...Emperado...Parker...Cerio...they are all related.

    A Kenpo Black Belt

  • great moves all on target which will cause

alot of damage .And as for street fighting

this art would work very well. There are no

rules in a real street fight.that means its

never one on one and the last place you want to be is on the ground trying to lock someone up while his buddys are stompping on you.

  • Well done.

  • And what about jiu-jitsu?

  • This is an extremely effective martial art for competition in MMA. This was clearly proven in Vale Tudo and No Holds Barred tournaments. However, by itself is not sufficient anymore in the octagon and certainly less so in a real street confrontation. Again, try jiu-jitsu while someone is biting you, raking your eyes, striking your groin, head butting you, etc.

  • This is the same ridiculous argument that is given by all TMA practitioners as they apologetically attempt to prove the value of their 'Art'. But in all honesty, it's complete garbage.

If you train in something real like Muay Thai or BJJ, you are really TRAINING to fight. No katas, no help landing your technique by your partner. It is real.

I train Muay Thai and BJJ and tie it together with 'MMA' classes as well, and I would DESTROY any of these guys. Anyone who really TRAINS could.

  • I'm sure you would destroy anyone.... After all, that is what you train for!! By the way, if you ever get involved in a fight that allows biting, groin strikes, head butts, etc, post the video on YouTube... I'd like to cheer for you in that fight.

If you do that, you would do a great service to all other BJJ and Muay Thai practitioners who are so broadly misunderstood by "TMA practitioners".

  • Sorry if I sound sarcastic... but I can't resist all seeing a lot of comments from a bunch of teenagers who feel they can DESTROY anyone but they never post a video showing their fighting prowess. Lip service is cheap. These guys have gone through the trouble of posting a video and all you are doing is sitting behind a keyboard telling the world to trust your words about how great you are. That is just pathetic!

  • Where are your videos? i'm sure these kajukenbo guys can learn a lot from you

  • I study Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, and I can tell you that Kajukenbo, as an art, is very powerful. Of course, we should never judge an art just because we see a few of its students. But a good kajukenbo fighter can be just as much a warrior as a Bujinkan warrior.

  • If you're still calling whatever you do an 'Art', then 'fighter' is probably the last word you should use to describe yourself.

You want to strike? Boxing and Muay Thai.

You want to grapple? Wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu.

If you must use weapons? Escrima and some Krav Maga.

Anything else and you're wasting your time.

  • Remember that a street fight a "ring" fight are two very different things. What works very well in a ring, or octagon for that sake, will not work in the street. In the octagon you are limited by too many rules that do not mean anything in the street. Try doing jiu-jitsu while someone is raking your eyes or biting your stomach or striking your groing, etc., etc., etc...

  • When you are fighting for your life in a street confrontation, you will need more than boxing, muay thai and jiu-jitsu. When your opponent attacks you with head butts, eye gouges, low blows, biting, pulling hair, etc., etc. many of the MMA techniques you are familiar with quickly become useless in a real street confrontation. Remember that fighting is not just stepping into a ring/octagon with some predetermined rules. In the street, everything goes and that is what Kajukenbo is about.

  • You said it right buddy. Some people are foolish to think BJJ will save them in a street fight against multiple attackers. Other fighters practice only offense and than they get hit on the nose and than they're finished because than comes the barage of punches, elbows, knees, etc. BJJ is good for 1-on-1, that's it. Kajukenbo much like Wing Chun is meant for the worst case scenario. That is what we train for and some people simply believe armbar will get them out of any situation. lol, fools.

  • your an idiot...period..no debate..im a brownbelt bjj have been training for 8yrs..i have faught--not sparred--but fought an alleged kajukenbo practioner--after fending off his initial strikes i closed the distance, shot in,foot sweeped him landing in side control, mounted him, after striking him a few times he gave me his back where i proceeded to apply a rnc and choked him unconscious..your martial art is sub standard and will get alot of people hurt by trying to fight multiple attackers.idiot

  • EXACTLY! Why are these guys worried about multiple attackers? They would have trouble with ONE!

The 'Street Fight' scenario is the TMA's lest vestage of hope. And do you know why that is? It's because it's the only thing not thoroughly documented and tested with video evidence. 'Anything can happen' is their mantra but what they don't understand is that when it does, their katas and forms aren't going to help them as much as my training and drilling and sparring. My toughness from working hard.

  • I think you've taken this a bit to personal. I apologize if I have offended you. I wish you no harm. Peace

  • THANKYOU...I gave you a thumbs up!

  • Tht is a good point and I give you credit but you are forgetting Sambo.

  • I am a muay thai fighter, wrestler and Brazilian Jui jitsu fighter. I hit you your done, i grab you..whether its standing up or on the ground...your done. I dun have to prove it, we've proven ourselves to be the best fighters out there.

  • And at 26 your a master of them all huh. Well, Those are great arts but if you dont understand the concept in any art your nothing. I know some guys that never trained a day in their lives...thank God cause theyll knock your head off without training. Heart is where its at. Understanding and traingin kepps your tools sharp, your calm and focused and muscle memory in place. You know what a fight is without concept? A fight.

  • GAY

  • Really? what style do you study? I'd like for you to challenge someone in person by saying that. Punk.

  • if they were ever in a real fight, none of that would work.
