his freestyle isn't about hating laptops. rather, KRS-One is saying the DJ did not 'jam' with him and the audience (the whole point of music) despite having a computer that could every beat or track you might need to rock the house. i watched a bit more of the set - did the DJ have a crash? he was flowing a bit better the rest of the night. Kris Parker pioneered MC battles, he's not going to keep his mouth shut if he's not happy. it's not about keeping it retro, it's about keeping it real
