I dont know how to set keyframes! Also when you said to combine the linear wipe and the text or whatever...at 3:08 how did you get back to the text layer? Mine still look combined...

This is a very nice tutorial, i see you know what you're doing. In fact this really helped me in a project I'm working on.

One thing i want to suggest is that because the particles move in such a wavy way, you could've added a slight wave to the text while the particles passed to give it a bit more life.

ok ive says YEAH to soon in my previous comment xD im stuck at 3:08 when you switch to another comp or layer or somthing like that with soem hotkeys.. i cant get there.. where you see the red square infront of the sample text in the lower left corner.... i dont know how to get there... help would be nice ^^

Ah.

At 3:08, I double-click the TEXT layer to open the TEXT comp.

On CS4, you double-click.

On CS3, you hold ALT and double-click.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean.

At 3:07 to 3:12 I change from the 'Comp 1' comp to the 'TEXT' comp using the tabs above the timeline.

Is this what you missed?
