I used to have a Border Collie, she was the best dog I ever had. She had one black patch on her face, on her left eye. She was one unique dog in so many ways. But we had to give her away because we were moving to a house with a smaller backyard.. My parents sent her to a farm without telling me, I never got to say goodbye to her, and I miss her so much :(

@Themailbox26 I have had a couple of Border Collies and will get more in the future. I presently have seven Australian Shepherds. My ex got two of my Australian Shepherds and a Border Collie from me. I was not able to say goodbye to my Border Collie or one of the Australian Shepherds and I miss the remaining Aussie.

That is terrible what your parents did. You should try to find where your dog is and visit it. Australian Shepherds are actually an American breed (original American cowboy dog).

i think border collies can be both the easiest and hardest breed to keep. they're so clever and easy to train yet they get bored very easy and need soooo much exercise. love them though!

My mum brought a border Collie and didn't give it enough exercise and care and it developed a lot of health problems. If you are going to get one make sure you have plenty of time and patients. it isn't fare on the dog if you cant take care of it properly.

Im Just Going too tell you i have a border collie and they are extremly smart and fast learners but if you dont teach the agilty or Have them herding they usually herd People or they herd your pant leg by bitting and practicully dragging you :] But other wise They are adorable and smart

extremly smart might be an understatement! I have one as well and its amazing how many words she understands. She knows all the names of her toys..and will get which ever one were talking about. She also went though a stage were her tail was getting into knots and we'd have to cut them out..if we just said the words "cut your tail" she'd fly out of the room like a bat out of hell!!

It''s not blood, it's just red marker paint used for telling which sheep are which when you are sorting or treating them medically etc.
