Absolutely riveting! I was a Bread fan in the 70's, but never really appreciated the talent of Jimmy Griffin until recently. I purchased a second-hand "Bread" CD at a public library, only to discover that the lead vocals were all performed by Jimmy. I was initially disappointed until I really listened to the CD and fell in love with his crystal clear voice. I'm sorry to learn that he has passed on, but I am grateful for his legacy of beautiful music. Thank you for sharing.
Jimmy Griffin Tribute CD - You must know of this from June S in Ireland - I know you do :) Breadfest in Liverp[ool was great - June and Thomas couldn't make it. You are not alone, us Breadheads get on great get in touch ? I have Lite of your mind from JL.
Lights in mind ... Well over this video! I hear James Griffin, as a child. Because I think ... If I think ... Therefore I exist! Happy New Year my brother!
Looking forward to more Griffin surprises. Thanks in advance for them. About this track, though, how I'd love to have this in my own collection - vinyl or otherwise. Thankfully, and thanks to your good self, we can all enjoy it on YouTube.
Forgive me, once again, for the confusion on my part. I thought you were Fran Hart, who I think also has a channel devoted to bread, but more specifically to our beloved Jimmy, so that's where I think I got a bit off the mark. But back to this track - where did you find this? Is it off a CD? I've pretty much everything Jimmy's ever done (or so I thought, until now), but would love to have this. Have you heard Jimmy's beautiful duet with Holly Cieri, on 'For All We Know'? So touching and tender.
LOL, it's okay. I understand the confusion. I think Fran's channel is 'k1fjh'. This track was ripped from old vinyl and the sound quality is far from perfect. I cleaned it up as much as possible with audio software. There have never been any CDs that I'm aware of, unfortunately. Stay tuned, because I'll be adding more surprises to the channel as soon as I have time.
A truly stunning and rare gem of a song, from a gem of a human being and musician. Thank you for posting this, Fran. I only have a very poor recording of this (copy of a copy of a copy of a copy) - where can I get a better recording of it on CD (besides burning this to CD, I mean?)
