Interesting. Many have commented they remember this tornado who lived there and close by. Not sure to pin point exactly where he lived in Jacson, but these pictures from Shane Woodson show the remains of wherever he was at the time. We had to go on his word that is was Jackson, TN.
This was scary. it went over my house. It left my neighborhood untouched while down the street, house were gone or damaged beyond repair. Union was destroyed.
Didn't leave my neighborhood untouched. I live in Walnut Trace north. Luckily I only lost a ladder hanging from my fence in my backyard. Lots of homes got destroyed a couple houses down though. Again it was good that some of them were just built and not occupied. Haven't seen my ladder since. Probably somewhere in Lexington or maybe Knoxville.
The object was to describe what a safe can do to protect valuables during a tornado. From a customer service standpoint, we took care of repairing his safe for no charge. He was happy his valuables survived.
Did he say "Jackson County"?
Its Jackson Tn. (Madison Co.)

@tensionrap Yeah he said Jackson County. And it looks nothing like Jackson, Tn. anywhere on most of the stills here.

Apparently Shane Woodson was mistaken by the county. It's actually Madison County. Thanks!

Oh man! A ladder is better than a life! I saw Aztec Cove off of University. Total disaster.

@ILovestorms
Yes, this video footage was to describe a tornado, but the still shots of his experience are actual photos.

Not one second of footage was from that storm; not the funnel, not the damage. Try me!

@homeostasis4me
Yes, the footage was not from the storm, only the still pictures. The footage was to tell the story.
