What equipments and accessories did you put on Golbez? He filled the EX bar in an instant after the first EX burst. That infinite EX is insane.

Golbez is a pretty solid character imo. He runs a nice hard pressure game, invcin. frames, lockoff nightglow so much utility.

I don't know if you know this but if you're high in the sky and you use Genesis Rock while above them it will pull them all the way up to you and I think its a great way to beat people when online.

i have a question. new to the game and the only character i play as is golbez now and pretty good with him i've beaten my friend nick and he plays this more then he breathes, well any way how do you make golbez so fast?

i've tried to do the same combos but not as fast as you do in the video what equips and moves do you have on him?

You can't MAKE Golbez fast in some ways. He's scary in one place: On the ground, and that's where he should stay. A summary would be to play a safe distance from your opponent, if you block something combo for big damage, and use his three main ground moves and lead those into his main combos. i know im late on the Dissidia scene but lack of money and other things kept gettin in the way of buyin the game, but i read your FAQ on gamefaqs, its nice, this is a nice video, but you really should change your FAQ a bit, you list the ability Attack System as "Ambush System" and "learned at lvl 5" yet in NA version of the game, you have that attack the second you unlock Golbez from PP Shop, it had me a little confused at first as to what you were speaking of in the FAQ

Glad to see people are still playing Dissidia and getting into the game. As for my FAQ, it's pretty out-dated (Atleast all the technicalities like move names and things of that sort.)

So yes, I should clarify those things, but I have no way of doing so. Although I don't have access to a PSP nor an English version of Dissidia anymore. I suppose that anyone who wants to make a little change-log, corrections, or any unfinished section to submit to my FAQ will be credited fully.

Fast reflexes you have there. I can't combo that fast because I can't even think that fast. Lol.

Question about Golbez: If the opponent is far and only the dark pillar in Rise Wave hits, is there any possible way to charge and teleport still?

Never charge all the way, it does nothing. Charge for about a full second or so and you'll teleport regardless of the distance so long as the pillar from Rise Wave hits. Practice a bit, you'll get the timing down.

It was a good thing i looked these up before starting to main. And Golbez's is definelty getting mained!!!! And these combos work in the american version too.....SO SURPRISING. I am definelty going to kick ass!!!!

IMO, Golbez combos are the sickest. It helps that he has safe options for starting a combo too... Jecht doesn't have that luxury

Glare Hand > DC > Gravity System > EXc > Rise Wave > DC > Gravity System > BP Chain (> HP Chain?) - Character specific combo? I dunno, if the enemy hits the pillar, will you still be able to HP Chain?

One Question, did u have dodge efficiency up equipped? I've played Cloud and I've seen that it affects his climhazzard->slash blow->omni v5 combo... And I can't do the AS->Rise Wave->Gravity system cause my Golbez just won't reach the opponent.. Any tips?

There are two variations; c - close, l - magic c Ambush l Rise wave, Brave followup Dodge forward This is dependent on spacing, you need to make sure the lasers from ambush system hits. l Ambush Walk up c rise wave, Brave followup Dodge Forward This is simple, close rise wave resets the positioning, no trouble i assume? I can't recall off the top of my head, but you should be able to reach the opponent without dodge efficiency, but your melee portion of Gravity System won't always connect.

Wonderful combo. However, if you plan on participating in tourneys, EX Mode will not be allowed, making this combo nearly useless.

EX mode not allowed? That sounds beyond stupid. EX modes play a big part in Dissidia's battles giving added options to characters and more variety to the characters.

I've heard of no bursts since they end the match early, that is understandable, but there are ways around EX modes and EX guarding, it is not a "free win" and has no need to be banned from tourney settings. No EX modes at all would ruin Dissidia's gameplay.

Golbez is a fun character to play, you'll need to know when, where, and how to use his moves, but my guide can help with that. Golbez is mostly about spacing and ground control, safe attacks from away and damaging attacks up close. He can deal massive damage when needed and you need to know your opponent's character well too. Golbez has a lot of things to mess around, but even with them he still gets killed by those who can force him into the air, Kuja, Kefka, Terra and the like.

Hmm so Golbez's true strength lies in controling the fight though aggression. Do you also play with other characters? I was also wonding how you fight with Cecil, Terra, Cloud, Sephiroth, and Garland. I think I know Cecil's just from watching videos and thats to know which form to use and when, its all about timing is what I'm getting. The rest of them however are giving me trouble. You can only learn so mmuch from videos XD. Any help is greatly apprecited.

With Cecil, is pressure with Search Light, staying and punishing with air brave, main game consists of landing a Paladin Force then mixing up with dash to brave to counter dodges, hp attacks to counter dodge, and braves when they aren't paying attention.

With Garland, I play with quick air-to-ground hits and guard-punish with huge combos on ground, Spinning ground brave -> uppercut -> holding uppercut -> DC -> bardiche. Bardiche is too.good.

Can't say I seriously play with the others.

Golbez only has 3 air and ground brave options.

I equip every HP link except for Floating System and both HP attacks.

Where you put them is all preference.

Thanks although the damage may not be as good, it gives more control over direction of movement and therefore a more likely crash.

For the third combo you did, i dont understand how u did the EX cancel at 0:42. Either i i go into ex and continue the gravity system combo or i m still in the air after i cancel it. If i wait till i fall to the ground, its too late. How to continue to rise wave? Explain?

1. Are you using Gravity System or Floating System? Only the former works

2. How fast are you doing it?

If you're too high air to followup Rise Wave: Airdodge upwards (neutral) so that Gravity System will put you lower to your opponent.

If you have trouble cancelling: Hold Square for Cosmis Ray then quickly tap R. If it doesn't work, you need to perform it fast enough but still charge Cosmis Ray to EX cancel. (I don't use this technique since pressing Square then Square+R is good for me)
