  • okay it´s not good

  • 20 people dont like sausage

  • Wow! It reminds me of my first train set in 1975.. I still have it . Now i know what to do for the holidays.....

  • Beings I am a baby boomer and model trains were more popular "back then", I just love your video! Have always loved model trains. Had a very simple train when I was a kid. Great fun! Great video!

  • wow.... Almost look real!

  • "the sausage looks good tonight also" ???? okkkk....?

  • heyy might i suggest weathering some of ur BNSF Locos!!!!!

  • Wow I Love That Set And The Dector Mile Post........

  • Who made the ES44's sound?

  • Sound like I'm on the train.

  • SWEET

  • When you have 2 trains on one track, how do you control one train but not the other? Is there like a different controller for each train? Please help!

BTW Where do u get the defect detector?

  • Hi It's called Digital Command Control or DCC for short.

    Using this system

The track power is not changed however according to the digital signal it recieves form the control it will change the actualy voltage to the motor of that ONE TRAIN

  • Those ditch lights on the leading P42 definitely need to be reprogrammed! But sweet layout so far! It's coming along nicely!

  • Who makes the Amtrak box car? Is that what itis called.

    TY

    Frank

  • Walthers.

  • I sure liked your SD 40 green BN loco, nice lay out, cool with double main lines!! Thanks for sharing this!!

  • nerds

  • NICE BNSF : D

  • Great trains and sound! My only complaint is the ditch lights on the p42 they should alternate blinking, not flash together like that.

  • ........ I hope Detectors don't actually say things about sausage..

  • look what my username is

  • chido quisiera esa maqueta

    me boy chao

  • Awsome

  • Very nice!

  • Real nice video! i am not into passanger service at all but your Amtrack is real nice. I bet that was not cheap to put together. I swear I keep buying 5 and six car sets of BNSF coal Porters, but the train seems to get longer and longer and my wallet smaller and smaller. I started out two months ago to just collect engines now i am over 20 feet out on the layout and into the empting wallet syndrom! Eveytime I think im satisfied with the coal train. I need six more cars! and two more locos on it.

  • wow thats awesome, I just saw Amtrak 134 through Radnor along the mainline outside Philadelphia leading the Pennsylvanian. I have video of it on my channel, great layout though!

  • Oh, what decoder and sound are you using in that unit (5612)??

  • That unit does not have sound. What you are hearing is a Broadway SD40-2.

  • Oh.. Still, sweet sound! 5 stars and favs

  • Glad you enjoyed the video!

  • 5612 is an AC4400.... Nice video! I have that one too.

  • Great video!!! Can you tell me more about the defect detector? Where can I find one at? will it actually count the axles on the train and sense things wrong?

  • i have those coal cars :)

  • what the heck was that at the end? the sausage?

  • what size layout is this and what is that curves (the one in the shot) radius?

  • trains so good but decaration is poor

  • The layout looks nothing like that now. It was under initial construction when this video was made. There are more recent videos showing the layout today.

  • what are the detecors for??

  • "Hot box" detectors can sense if a train has a hot axle, which is usually caused by a dragging brag. If it sees a hot axle, it lets the train crew know about it.

  • Too bad the previous trainsets weren't as

technologically advanced as the one shown

in the video. The synthesized milepost detection system would have been nice for

the layout that I had in the seventies.

The remark about the sausage adds a little

    flavor. (No pun intended)

  • Did they meet at the grocery store or did they explode

  • where did they meet

  • how much was ur superliner?

  • 21 degrees detector out

  • lol

  • the most expensive trainset is the nyc mta types

  • tightwork on the train layout whoady..lol

  • really cool!!! (^_^)

  • Cool layout, can't wait to see it finished. I haven't done any secerny on my layout either. Don't those box cars go in the rear of the train though, and I'm guessing the Superliner cars must be jammed packed with luggage with no baggage car, LOL. Still a cool vid, (And if you wan't the detecter to be real, the Amtrak axle count is usally 44).

  • since when were sd-40s used in coal service

  • "Since" before they had SD60Ms, ACs, or the like.

  • yeah so pretty much never in the past decade

  • What's your point?

Ha! You win! Wohoo for you!

  • who cares where they should be, its his tables, we can and anyone can tun anythign how we want, fuck you your probly a atlas guy who counts rivets, its our hobby but wwe dont have to be an exact how run our train guyhow about a gp9 with a sd45t-2?

  • the sausage looks great tonight lo!O!L!O!L!O!LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL aww great thats funny i shou;d try something liek that with mine lol

  • The boxcars should be on the rear of the Amtrak train, no hep cables.

  • the crew sounds like robots and the detector stoned. LOL

  • -21? TOO COLD

  • -21 was the actual temp outside... thats why we were inside. gotta love mn

  • Wow... Awesome radio traffic!

  • i'd like to add that BNSF 5612 is an AC4400CW, just in the new paint

  • wow great video

  • lol nice radio chatter

  • nice

  • who makes ac44s in wedge? or did u paint those?

  • Nope we did not paint those. They are a creation of Athearn.

  • Nice, gota love those Wedge Logo's

  • REALLY NICE ROLLING STOCK!

  • The sausage looks good? Is that a code for something?

  • That's a term frequently used for Amtrak trains on the radio.

  • Monk-e-mail

  • yup, that's what we used for the talking

  • Nice pictures on the wall in the backround.

  • You need to get your ditch lights fixed on that P42. Also, the BNSF 5612 is an AC4400CW that is not actually in that paint scheme. Athearn just cheaped out and stuck the new logo on AC44s rather than making a new mould for ES44s.

  • Good catch on the AC4400CW. At first I thought it might be the (accurate) Tower 55 model, but it's not.

    Still an interesting video, though.

  • oVER?

  • ha ha ha yeah that's a strange way of saying "over".

  • Got a good chuckle with the roll-by at the end. Nice video.

  • trust me, we have been laughing about it constantly since we made this video

  • thats pretty cool...well done

  • Cool. That was fun.
