I had your same motherboard, but I was trying to put in a new fan for the processor and got really sloppy. I screwed it up bad. So I decided I would upgrade. I can't find another motherboard like the Asus M2N-E sli board that's even slightly better, so I just bought it again. LoL. I also bought another 9600gt and a amd phenom II with 2.9 ghz. I can't wait to try this game again and see how it runs.

I ran the same setup on my M2N-E back in the day. Great budget mobo at the time. I put a 5200+ brisbane and it clocked it to 3ghz and had 2 9600s in SLI. Did some great things for me

@94XJ The 5200 comes at 2.6GHz right? And you got it overclocked to 3.0GHz? Lol, mince came at 2.8GHZ, and I couldn't even take it past 2.9GHz. And just recently I had been getting a bunch of blue screens, and I had to take it back down to 2.8GHz. How did you get yours overclocked like that?

@ryken102 My 5200 was a brisbane instead of a Windsor so it was 65nm instead of 90. Check your memory timings too...when you overclock the bus the RAM speed goes up. Easy thing to take the memory out of the equation is to set it at it's lowest speed and then overlcock.

Yeah, dual 9600GT is great. So far, the only game I have that they can't run at over 60 fps on their own is Crysis, which runs at around 35 fps for me.

Mmm love the destruction. I'm upgrading from a crappy old P4. Ordered a new comp and its coming in soon but I'm concerned about the power of the graphics card. Specs are: Quad core i7, 3.8 Ghz. 6 GB DDR3. But the graphics card is a Radeon HD 4670 1GB. is that a suitable set up? Awesome game btw and nice vid :)

Yeah, that's a really nice set up there, the card is good,  it's more than to play any game you'd like at the highest settings, well, maybe except Crysis. But your CPU and RAM are awesome, your PC will play this game better than mine can.

No problems with SLI, it runs perfect in alot of games. The GeForce GT300 cards should be coming out soon though, and they'll have DirectX 11, you might want to save up for one of those.

the moving really slow is often accompanied by the video cut scene audio going at 1/4 speed. its a common problem that often cannot be fixed and the game designers have no plans to release a patch to fix it. I have a 4870 and the game is not playable on my PC but my friend has a 9800 and its fine. I am assuming its ATI driver incompatible.

Hey there... I am facing a problem with the game and i hope you could help.

Nvidia 9600GT SLi 1GB RAM

3 GB RAM

XP HOME EDITION 32bit

Problem: The game on full graphics is a bit slow and sometimes gets slower. It is very weird because it doesn't require more than my specs at all. PLUS the sound in movie playback always stutters. PLEASE HELP

Oh, well, that probably means that your graphics card isn't the problem, but it's either your processor or memory.

The only thing I can suggest is that you close all of your programs and try running the game again, hopefully it should move faster. If it doesn't, let me know.

Lol, well, GTA 4 has this retarded video memory checker in it's graphics options that only let's you set your graphics up to how much memory your card has. So if it sees that your options would take more than 512MB, it won't let you raise the graphics. That's the only game I know that does that.

My monitor supports 1680 x 1050, and I play the game at that resolution. I only took it down to 720p to record it (my harddrive isn't fast enough to save all that data without freezing).

You're playing it on PC, right? If so make sure that the resolution in the game settings is actually set to 1920 x 1080. Are you using component cables to connect it?

Hmmm, it should play on high, but not at the highest resolution.

I think in Windows Movie Maker it allows you to choose the size of the video right off the bat... not so sure, I don't use Windows Movie Maker.

ppl say this game has bad graphics because the buildings look like boxes. when u get up close to a building there is so much detail in it. obviously wen ur fare away from it it looks like a box. this game has good graphics since he map is so big the buildings look like boxes until u go near them

Yeah, you're right, the graphics in this game are pretty good (on the technical side). In my opinion, what it lacks is art direction and style, but it's New York, I don't think they could've done much better.

ryken is running better than me because i pirated this to look at what its like. i WILL buy the real game though because i have 3 9800 GTX+'s and a q6600 quad core at 3.6 with 8 gigs of ram and im only getting 21 fps. the real game has sli support, not the pirated version. so if black crow has the pirated version, then thats why.

I really think this game is more cpu bound than anything though since changing the resolution from 1600x1200 to 800x600 doesnt make a bit of a difference even with my single 9600GT. I don't get it why you're getting only 21fps with this setup, even if the pirated version (the one i have) dont have sli support you should be getting over 50fps easily with this processor and only one 9800gtx working.

but i dont for some reason. and i got ddr3 at 1800 mhz and still it stays stays at 35 or lower. some factors could be its a no cd crack and the game itself keeps checking for a cd but gets hung up with not finding one and the fact that the prototype executable i pirated was named prototypef.exe not prototype.exe as well as the prototypegameengine.dll had an f in it too. nvidia didnt have a recommended sli profile for prototypef anyways. but its a game worth buying.

Yea it's the processor, i have a athlon x2 5200+ overclocked to 3ghz and i get crappy framerate (18-35 fps) and it does not matter what resolution i use, 800x600 or 1600x1200 its same framerate. Our poor amd dual core are getting old :P
