This guitar is badass, too bad they only make the Gary Moore version, however just because its a signature doesn't mean it changed tone, Spendy yes but its a guitar that will take a beating time after time and still kicksome ass
@nspade13 yeah I made my guitar at home for around $800 and it kills everything I've ever played and its a lefty so I didn't have to pay any "upcharge" I looked on alot of companies custom build calculators and my specs would have made it about 4000-6000 dollars
@smackenurjunk Definitely, I made my new guitar with a luther and it cost me $1200 and it feels and sounds far better than any les paul or fender for that matter that i've played. It's all about quality, just because it's gibson doesn't mean it's all hand made like in the old days.
Clean<<< OMFG on clean it sounds sooo nice on the p90 vol10 and bright but not painfully bright with the Burstbucker rolled of a little. I LOVE how it sounds with gain sooooo much but it sounds even better clean! Looks/Feels<<<< Some ppl will hate how it look and some will love it but NOONE will be bored by it because it stands out in the crowd plus it has a p90 too so its sound stands out too. It feeeels SOOO nice, the neck it 50s on mine (gary moore BFG) and you can feel the wood <<<
GEEEEEET ONE, the only way you could make this sound bad is if you dont know how the volume/tone knobs work or if you got a bad amp. I got mine the other day and its the sound ive been lookin for, the p-90 is great for warm blues and warm jazz but also melodic high gain solos and the burstbucker is powerful enough for anything, you might not get some certain metal sounds out of it but it can do metal easy. Fo punk ect i use em combined with the tone at 6 and the p-90 at vol6. Sounds CHUNKY
I really like the concept and look of this guitar. The price is a TOTAL joke, however! This could and should be the working musician's Les Paul. Instead it's another overpriced collector's item from a company totally out of touch with its best future customers.
@fenderrz No idea; The Gary Moore one, which looks awesome, is about 1400.00.
If you can live without the Gibson headstock, I think you're better off with an Epiphone and a Piggy Bank (spend 400.00 now and save up for a really really good Les Paul...later. )
@johanneslabusch On point, amen. Gibson fell in love with its own legend. I love Gibsons, but they are not worth the money they sell them for now. And I'm sorry to crap on any Epiphone owners, but they are NOT the same quality as an American Gibson, so don't tell me to buy an Epiphone. I own a Dot, I know they aren't the same quality as a 335. Paul Reed Smiths are closer to where Gibsons should be price wise, as one example. Fender is steadily getting worse also.
hughes & kettner maybe....
