I dont get why his english has anything to do with his drumming. actually as WilfordMays stated he english is very easy to understand even though it's not his native language. Not once have I listened to this guy talk and been like "What the fuck did he just say?"

Look, I'm not a politically correct person. I think people who live in the US should speak understandable English, and I hate dealing with customers who speak shitty English that is impossible to understand.

Hannes Grossmann's English, however, is very clear and I don't have any trouble understanding what he's saying. This is as good as it gets when it's not your first language.

Fuck everyone who is genuinely making fun of Hannes for his English, he's gone to the effort of learning a second language and also he's made a DVD in that second language, which is more then any of you have ever done. As well as this, he's a nice guy and probably one of the best death metal drummers i've ever seen in my life.

So I met him last month (December 4th) in Orlando. He is real friendly. Someone handed him a beer and he started talking about him having heartburn the night before, but he couldn't find the word for heartburn, so he said "pain, in the chest," and took a pause when my friend said "heartburn?". You can tell he enjoys speaking in English.

I like Hannes! He's a real cool guy. I don't see how people can make fun of him for something as stupid as his English.

I suggest to look for Inexperienced and Bad Drummers to show that they Actually Can Play Better with this or that particular product. Face it, For guys like Hannes there is no difference whether it SpidKobra or Demandriwe or Aksiz or any other instrument, He could play with seven bags of bricks attached to his feet, because he is Good and He is Experienced, I'm Just Saying..

It's such a big country, that they haev their ow tvshows and dub the foreign movies that enter the country. It is as if you where to speak spanish. You wouldn't do it perfect at all, so it's just ignorant to make fun of a guy for his english. Language is about communication, not speaking fluently.

SPEED COBRA 1. Very smooth 2. Footboard feels very comfortable 3. You could play faster without straining 4. The footboard doesnt move at all when youre swiveling (compared to the Pearl Eliminator) AND it comes with a badass care that looks like youre carrying a nuclear bomb :) Dislikes... Beaters sound like crazy and not that loud Their not direct drive Its harder to double stroke (compared to my Pearl Eliminators) Great pedals though, i would recommend them

Where does everyone get the idea that direct drive pedals have no power? I can get just as much oomph out of my Demon Drives as I can out of my Iron Cobras, it's just about setup. Granted, the Speed Cobra is a different kind of power though, I don't think I'll ever need a pedal that hits that hard!

If you are in the market for a new pedal, DON'T BUY THIS PEDAL!!! The Axis A series is the only way to go, unless you have the money for the Axis A21. I promise that the Axis A series pedal will increase your speed and atack, it may just take some getting used to because it's a direct drive instead of a chain driven pedal.

The only way to choose the right pedal is to go to the shop and see them for yourself. I have a friend who had axis pedals. He stopped using them because he doesn't like the feel of the direct drive.

@Runjakovich True. Mostly. Direct drive does have a more precise nature though... and almost noone likes the feel at first. I went from chains to strap driven Yamahas to Yamaha direct drives and THEN to Axis... and the Axis pedals still took months to get used to. As far as physics go... if you wanna play several bars of double bass over 230bpm you'll be louder and more consistent with direct drive. You use less energy.
