Their intention was to end the war as quickly as possible because we were running low on troops, and the Japanese were very numerous in comparison. We had no ill intention in what we did. Just remember that the bombs we used on Japan we much stronger than the test bomb, but at the time we didnt know enough about atomic physics to now how much the increase would scale up the blast. Even so, we took a long time to decide to carry it out.
3 days for the second bomb, to end tens of thousands of lives. Their intention was to show the power they harness in a demonic way. Which backfired and started a nuclear weapon stash contest for all the nations who could develop such weapons.
I warn you once more to not be so rational about the death of thousands of civilians. This type of opinion forming kicks back more often than not.
No offense, but I find it to be foolish to think that because someone has power, means that they use it for evil reasons. And the idea not to be rational with the deaths also doesnt make sense. Either way, there would be tremendous loss of life. If dropping the bomb was so evil, and we were so for doing it, then why did we stop there? Why did we end the war with a bluff saying we had a third nuke and we didnt? We had the money and power to make it and drop it in days. So if what you say is true, then why didnt we.
The real reason the US bombed Japan was to show the world what they could do, which backfired since after that display the Soviets put all their resources into getting their own bomb.
Actually, they did it to end the war quickly. If they wanted to show off their power, they wouldnt have thought about whether or not to use it, which they did until the last minute really. But you do hold some truth in the idea that the US' use of nukes to end a war fast inevitably began a long and tedious war.

I really can't understand why this video is connected with this song. The text deals with something very different from nuclear weapons.
Probably many people want to connect all the horrible things that happened in world war 2 with us Germans.

No one ever needs to die, i am to asume that they would fight to the death to defend themselves, so would I, if an outer force was threatening me and my family and freinds, id give my life to defend against them, but the US didnt take into concideration exactly what they were doing, they were trying to end the war, but they didnt realise they had hit the wrong points, that and their negotiations were completely useless, simply by the way they aproached them.

I never said the end result was good, or even that the means of which it was done were good. But, aside from the fact that we all know that radiation sucks, Im sure we all know that death sucks more. Yankenica had no objections in sending their troops into the grinder (bombarding "wrong" beach anyone? :p). This is why I highly doubt that using weapons of mass destruction on civilians was done to prevent the loss of more life.

Their intention was to end the war as quickly as possible because we were running low on troops, and the Japanese were very numerous in comparison. We had no ill intention in what we did. Just remember that the bombs we used on Japan we much stronger than the test bomb, but at the time we didnt know enough about atomic physics to now how much the increase would scale up the blast. Even so, we took a long time to decide to carry it out.

No offense, but I find it to be foolish to think that because someone has power, means that they use it for evil reasons. And the idea not to be rational with the deaths also doesnt make sense. Not to say that lives are numbers, nor that people dont have a right to be pissed about it. Im saying that it wasnt the blatent act of evil that some think it was. If you find that it is a horrible weapon, then fine. But merely speaking out of emotion, no matter how called for it is, will do no good.

Actually, they did it to end the war quickly. If they wanted to show off their power, they wouldnt have thought about whether or not to use it, which they did until the last minute really. But you do hold some truth in the idea that the US' use of nukes to end a war fast inevitably began a long and tedious war.
