Forrest saw not the color of the skin, but the content of the character. Jenny, as damaged as she was [Earlier in the movie, they referred to child abuse], was a good soul... And Forrest loved her, no matter what. Jenny... always returned to him.

The person that made the video said that this is the best scene. Not me. I know that many of those people were placed there by computer techs. It does resemble the Vietnam Moratorium weekend. I had just been released from active duty by the Marines. I didn't go near the place. I stop off and saw some friends in D.C. and went home to Philly. Tom
