Totally cool. I am considering building a DIY using a wood plinth. Any suggestions, opinions would be appreciated. I was thinking of using a rega arm to keep the expenses down. Have a great day! Jeff
This is easy. I love your DIY turntable. Shows what's possible when you do it yourself. Wondering though about the speaker placement in the corner and angled. Is the other speaker angled too. This has to kill your sound stage side to side. Not to mention kills the sense of depth. The room does sound very live too. But I love that turntable. Awesome! Well Done!
amazing , i want to build one myself ...where did you get inspired from ?

But did you make an array of paper needles so you don't ruin that record.

A motor, a heavy plateau, a belt and an arm is all you need.
But why, I ask you, whe Ortofon OM? This deserves better :).

You should shorten the screws attaching the cartridge to the head shell!

you got a nice tt, but the pickup is slightly underdressed-and your tiled room with naked walls will never sound good.

Looks great! I think the finishing touch would be an awesome big-ass lathed metal puck sitting on the spindle.

That turntable looks like it should have some icing and cherries on top of it instead of an LP.
