  • У нас такое как сасиски делают :) уже давно !

  • it looks like early version of ABL

  • How old is this material? Looks like 80ies or older.

  • 31st may 1983 ?

  • Upper right corner....just noticed.

    Pretty amazing if it worked.

  • ??? These have been in production for decades...we are now making vehicle mounted ones. If we want, no ballistic missile would ever get 100 ft above the launch pad or ocean surface. That's why we scrapped the Polish missile defense...its already covered bro. It was just a stalling technique to get our lazers up...there up.

  • Do me a favor bigC: Dont say US. Alot of people developed lasers like this before the US. You cant teach me laserstuff...trust me. But other nations are smarter...noone else would show stuff like that on discoverychannel. And: Lasers are not weapons...they are tools. Particle-beams, but not lasers.

  • @AnselmoFanZero dude what are you talking about?

Do you realize how far other military's are behind western powers and mainly the U.S.A.? You must be Euro trash...I bet you read the enquirer too lol. There is no other country on earth that can knock down a Ballistic missile with a Lazer. Plus your German...we are your ,military lol...what you have a civil defense force lol.

  • Youi wish. We fabricate optics for your lasers. You buy OUR rifles for your marines...talking to a dude who has no knowledge, just googling random laser-terms or whatever. Thumbs up.

  • I am a marine and my rifle is stamped with a COLT symbol...made in America..Yeah we use some H&K's but mostly COLT..

  • I have to admit, I love the Modern Warfare games for PC. The loading screens give some random infos or quotes..one sasy: Always remember: Your weapon is mad by the lowest bidder. Had to smile bout this one...

  • clean war... War of the future, or war of tomorrow?

  • To give you an idea, a 2kW laser can cut a 2 inch hole in a 1/2 plate of steel in nary a second... But thats at point blank range. Still, a 1000kW laser could melt a tank in a couple seconds.

  • a guy built a laser that could melt a hole in 2 inches of steel in 1second when he was 14

  • They can, but this is more of a proof-of-concept since this is a chemical laser; remember, most missiles are hard to hit using missiles! Planes are generally another story. They already have trailer-sized diode pumped array lasers (more efficient, smaller, tighter beam) up to ~700kW. The US Military wont use them until they get up to 1000kW.

  • Its real easy...the don't have to melt a hole into the tank. Heatin up the fuel or a warhead will take every aircraft down.

    Scary...

  • if they can shoot down missiles, why not enemy fighters and bombers too? Self-aiming. It's almost too easy.
