After finishing all episodes, Gale is my favorite character. I just cracked up watching the episode where he comes back to work at the lab after being fired, Walt see's his Gale-mobile parked outside and just sighs. A Subaru outback covered with bumper stickers and a gay ass recumbent bike on the top... never have I seen characters with as much depth as these on a tv show, it gives me hope in the media again.
@cityofwhat Hell yes......Television is the new Silver Screen. It's taking over baaaabbbbyyyy!!! Cinema has Twatlight, Epic (Shit) Movie, Final Destination 1 to fuck knows how many, Justin Beiber's - Believe (You're a faggot) and Transgender-Formers. We've got Breaking Bad, Big Love, Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men, Sons Of Anarchy and past greats like: The Shield, Six Feet Under, The Wire, OZ. And we owe it all to a little show called The Sopranos. Ahhhhh, so glad I work in T.V.
@ViceCityVacation I didn't realize it but you're totally right. I haven't seen an American movie that was worth watching in ages, yet I find myself watching and talking about television a lot lately and I'm a person who has never owned a t.v. and always claimed to hate it. it seems all the real artists in the industry are working in television now since studios only want to make bullshit for the big screen. I would add Arrested Development to that excellent list.
@cityofwhat Yes that is a top show also :) Boston Legal, list goes on.....even silly, but fun comedies like, 30 Rock. Rescue Me, and some of those emergency services dramas. Even some of the filler type stuff outweighs the the blatantly disgusting, cash-grab, garbage they're spewing out on the big screen. Don't get me wrong, occassionally Scorsese or someone good will make a decent flick. But T.V is the new medium for real actors, not "superstars", to flex their chops.
@cityofwhat I just finished watching the whole Breaking Bad series in 2 weeks. watching at least a few episodes each day. I haven't watched one in 2 days. I am in withdrawal. This TV show has the realest characters, i'm saddened to think that it's just acting... I can't wait for season 5
@ElectricTurkey1 Lol I had the same feeling, I had been coming home everyday and starting the next episode and then usually a few more, once I finished all of them I was basically like WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW? I watched them again though, second time though filled in some gaps and made me appreciate it more.
I kinda just realised this - the end of this episode foreshadows pretty much what the entire season is about and builds up to. That notebook is what gets Hank back on the trail, and Hank being a major problem for Gus is what leads him to threaten Walt's life. This then drives Walt to kill Gus.
@netforce0 I'd have to disagree on either case now. Even on the season finale, half Walt and half Heisenberg were talking on that phone. "We're safe, I won."
@JulianVerdeguer i love it :) . They give you enough time to soak in the feeling of the end of the episode and then it fades into it perfectly. :D :D best/worst part of the show :D :D
-We ended the first episode of the season with Walt walking away, completely scared and powerless. He has a death sentence hanging over his head and is practically at the very bottom of the food chain.
-We ended the season with the man that was Walter White dead and gone. He died in that crawl space. In the end, Heisenberg succeded in what Walt could never do: Kill Gus and be at the very top of the game. New Mexico is HIS territory now.
Except for the fact that Season five is the final season, and is going to be drawing the characters stories to a close. It's not going to be about the Meth buisness anymore. It's going to be about the ramifications of what has already happened, and how it's going to catch up to them. You think that after all this Walter and Jesse would just be like " Oh Let's go back to cooking now ". No. That just is not going to happen.
@blizzy00 Agreed, though I wouldn't rule out Walter and Jesse contemplating one last RV-style batch a few episodes into the season for whatever reason, and running to their respective ends that way (though I certainly wouldn't bet on that happening).
No matter what happens, the Breaking Bad writing team, Vince Gilligan, and all these amazing actors will Deliver. Im just hoping we get a LONG 16 episode final season, and not get it split into two seasons for a networks view's sake.
Not only is this one of the greatest shows ever, but it was also so kind to introduce me to one of the greatest songs in recent times. Thank you, Breaking Bad.
When i first saw that end of the scene, literally ALL the hairs on my arms raised up, and i got chills down my spine and was like " HOLY FUCKING SHIT NO."
The way Walt is dressed (Kenny Rogers shirt with the tag still on) is yet another clue to Skyler that there's much more to Walt's criminal life than he lets on. It's like the moment in Pulp Fiction when Jules and Vincent show up at the bar wearing tacky t-shirts and swim shorts. Clearly, they had a crazy morning.
you mean @ 0:45 When it transitions from Walter walking back to his car in shame, to the Crime scene at Gales?. I mean if you saw all three season's leading up to Season 4, you should know what's going on, and evidently what to expect.

Yeah, that 's one thing Breaking Bad is great at. Making thing's look so shockingly realistic, that it's actually near disturbing. I remember when Victor Looked as his face...
