ok sara thank you so much i followed your vid till the end and i finally perfected it! THANK YOU SO MUCH also, how many layers did you do in this vid? i can only manage to get i beleive 5 before i get frustrated too much lol
Phew! Finally i finished the rose. It was pretty complicating at those er, funny folds in the middle though but i had fun doing this and it was great. =)
hi sara! i taliked to you on the open and closed sink vid and you said to leave the timei'm having trouble with in teh comment so here it is yah definately at 2:09 in the vid i saw its called the squash fold and i am completely lost so plz help
btw why is it the sound of paper folding is so... soothing?
Ah, 2:09 is indeed a normal open sink as shown in the technique video. The later open sinks are done differently, but for the first one you need to make a sink the "normal" way: on the precreasing (where you folded up a triangle) make mountains all around - it'll be a square shape; the diagonals need to be valleys; then collapse again. The technique video should help.
oh my goodness sara is it ok if i call you the origami master of youtube? your help was VERY HELPFUL i finally got past that part! if i need anymore help which i probably shouldnt i will pm you k? again thanks!
You need to sink the corners in a simple open sink. If you don't know what an open sink is, please check watch?v=onOULFtkd1o for a video with detailed instructions how to make one.
Back then someone asked for a silent video. I might do a remake some time with verbal instructions and a better camera angle. But I'm not sure when that will be.
I like doing origami, but I have no patience for it. I tried to do the fireworks thing she showed and I ended up getting mad and ripping it up. I understand how to do it, but when I go to do it, it gets all garbled. She makes it easy to understand.
i keep on ripping my paper, ugh so frustrating
