  • Nah, i sooner put a bag on it and call it a bagpipe :-)

  • you have to learn the circular breathing

  • wow this is pretty cool, and pretty cool sound aswell, especially love the name Foonki sounds real cool, quite funny too, :-)

  • Thanks! The drone is made the same way as the chanter, but slightly under twice as long. I then added a short smaller tube at the bottom to it to allow for adjusting the overall length and therefore the pitch. I tuned the drone to be an octave lower than the second note in the scale, the same way a highland bagpipe is done. Cheers, -Michael

  • nice job! Love the bagpipe-type sound. After reading some of the other comments I went to Linsey's site and got the instructions on how to make the foonki, but how did you make the drone?

  • Sure just google Foonki it is the top response when I checked.

  • can you show how do you make this one? it's very nice! I play the highland begpipes.

  • Thanks, I can see why, the first two notes have the same interval

  • I kept thinking you were going to play greensleeves! Nice work, great to see a membrane pipe actually in tune :)

  • Holy Crap! Thanks Linsey!

  • @carnright You know you've made the big time when THE Linsey Pollack comments on your video.

  • that's great....well done.....love the drone addition.....keep it up! best wishes - Linsey
