OK baby if you were such a popular singer then you would know the difference between screaming and singing from the stomach and chest because what she did was sang from the stomach and went to her chest voice and it wasnt yelling nor screaming. I would have to agree that Randy Travis version is better, but Carrie Underwood is amazing, she have a beautiful voice, and sang it very well. It was no Randy Travis but guess what thats because she is not Randy Travis the originals of songs are always better then the Covers and that is usually because you get use to hearing it that way. So I am not saying that I disagree with you but be a little more considerate of these American Idol kids they are all very talents(except: maybe Ruben)

The greats on country music have always been musicians. Great songs don't come pre-written, synthesized and mostly recorded before the "artist" even shows up to put the vocals on vinyl; they are beat out by a band of skilled pickers, people who not only mean the songs they sing, but have lived them.

I think everyone does songs in their own way. I didn't know this was a Randy Travis cover until I saw it on Youtube. I think that Carrie's choice to have Vince do the background vocals on this song was pure gold. Both of them have an awesome voice, and I think it's great that they honored Randy Travis by choosing to re-record this song.
