What i would do for some of those onion rings and a flying saucer... Just finished off the last of their spaghetti sauce that i had frozen a couple months ago. :(
@iceman977th It says Ashland, KY on the description. It was a really old place. My parents use to go there on dates in the 50's. It was kinda like the diner on Happy Days. Lots of memories for people. I remember going there when I was a little girl. They had vanilla & cherry coke waaaay before they came out with it in the stores. All they had to do was add flavoring. Anyway, great memories for our family. It was awesome that they brought the food out to your car! Sad it's been torn down now.
Jim actually bought the stand before Bluegrass closed and had to be very secretive about it from the Cooper's until its initial health inspection was done. Although the Bluegrass was historic, the ownership was very crooked. The Coopers were close with Susanne Smith and would not have hesitated to ask Suzanne to give Jim problems for get backs. I will never believe the Cooper's didn't profit a cent from the place closing as they claimed to the newspaper.
@massie20000 It sucked and the people owning/running it sucked. It was a dump and the service was horrible. My wife and I went there one time and the hamburgers tasted like school burgers and they gave her 6 krinkle cut fries.
