If the vikings won teh SB, Wisconsin would have been a depressed gloomy place for 7 months. Packer management would have been questioned beyond capacity. And madness would have ensued. I dont think GB wins in 2010 if MINN won it all in 2009. The hangover would have been too much. We'll never know tho. But thats just my opinion.
The worst part was they were in range for a 52 yard field goal and then a penalty the play before. If they just ran the ball it would be been at least a 48 to 50 yard field goal. What's worse Favre had open space to run, but the ankle injury would have been too much for him.

Viks might have had the total yards category, but the only two categories you need to win so you can win are two: turnovers and points. And the Saints owned both those categories. Also, if you can create turnovers, that is the best defense you need people. So give the Saints alot of credit and stop bitching and crying Viks fans.

@USswag the vikes fucking owned the saints in every catergory, except turnovers and points. they owned them in total yards, rushing yards, passing yards, and obviously defense. the would've gone to the super bowl, but for some inopportune turnovers, and some refs feeling bad for new orleans and hurricane katrina. im not blaming it all on the refs, but they certainly didnt help the vikes. and of course favre's lazy and horrible decision to throw the ball

it didn't matter, as a vikings fan we are cursed, longwell would've hit the up rights with the field goal attempt and the ball would've bounced out, when the coin toss in OT came up it was a 95% chance going to the saints, not 50-50, just the life of being a vikings fan.

{People never notice that on this play, bernard berrian was standing by the sideline, short=side where favre was running, with NOBODY near him. There's no way favre didn't see him but saw Rice cross-field. Just another horrible decision by one of the worst big-game decision makers ever.

Actually, Longwell had already hit 55 or 56 yarders for the Vikings previously, outdoors, let alone in a Dome. He definitely had the leg if they just do a dive play there. Not saying he would have hit it, but distance wasn't a problem.

@packersinhd I just stated a fact. I never put any personal bias on the statement. What i said is a general feeling among most packer fans.....It was the most intense game i have ever watched tho. The vikings made a deal with the devil. It worked well all season, but it eventually bit them. I love Brett Favre,but GB made the right decision. This game and the 2010 Packers season proved that. I hate to break it to you, but packer fans cheered the saints in this game like they did the Pack in XLV.

If the vikings won teh SB, Wisconsin would have been a depressed gloomy place for 7 months. Packer management would have been questioned beyond capacity. And madness would have ensued. I dont think GB wins in 2010 if MINN won it all in 2009. The hangover would have been too much. We'll never know tho. But thats just my opinion.

The worst part was they were in range for a 52 yard field goal and then a penalty the play before. If they just ran the ball it would be been at least a 48 to 50 yard field goal. What's worse Favre had open space to run, but the ankle injury would have been too much for him.

He has ended his teams post season on pop warner interceptions 3 times. Triple coverage against Giants, across the body against the saints, and school yard punt against the eagles. Name another LEGEND that threw 6 interceptions in 1 game, playoffs mind you, and it was against an average defense.
