It is sad that this ignorant straw-man interviewer is all that could have been found for a "discussion" with an oracle, I fell like I have missed out on intelligence as a result.
@tuli213 Yes, but it is very useful that he asks Chomsky the questions that will inevitably be asked. It is not hard to convince ordinary people about the ideals of anarchism, but the questions of defense and organization are the next big problems that get posed. To believe otherwise, is in my opinion, self-deception on the part of the anarchist. Anarchists and libertarian socialists in general must be prepared to be asked these kinds of questions, to take some responsibility for their vision.
At the 6:00 mark, Dr. Chomsky poses an interesting ideal. "If human intelligence were devoted to asking 'how technology could be designed to fit the needs of the human producer, instead of conversely."
An utterly remarkable question & "if" a man could turn this ideal into a reality, we would certainly obtain utopia.
I am a Computer Programmer and studied a Degree in Electronic & Information Engineering and I have always thought in the way of designing technology to fit human production since I was young - that is perhaps why I am still poor and in debt ;-)
I saw a video on google called "Money as Debt". WOW did it open my eyes. Now I see how the whole system works and it's high time we stop playing by their rules, because we're getting screwed in the end.

watch the end of Zeitgeist addendum, we could have machines say produce food, pick up garbage etc. if we only would design them.
