  • Very Nice! Super Rare!

  • Wow, such a perfect sweep! Why doesn't Rolex make their mechanicals that smooth?

  • I'm surprised with the amount of idiots here who know about the Rolex Oyster Quartz....

  • gota love the smooth sweep

  • 100% genuine, exceptionally rare, a very fine example and very valuable...SUPERB!

  • Wow................. thats an AWESOME sweep.

  • Great video, didn't know the Beta Quartz Module had a sweep second hand. Definitely in contrast to the later Oysterquartz models - you have a truly rare piece :)

  • have 1 Rolex 5100 18k Gold in sell.. contac me

  • I've got 2 oysterquartz and have passed them off as counterfeits when questioned. When you buy them, you buy for yourself and don't care what others think. Besides, if I'm ever robbed, I'd berate them for doing such a crime for a fake watch.

  • People will assume your real Rolex is a fake before they will assume your fake Rolex is real ..... just comes with the territory.. .. ..

  • If this is a real Rolex please post a reference number, otherwise we have to assume it's a fake. The '70 to '72 time frame makes no sense.

  • @Muncheroni the reference is in the title :-)

5100 - the only limeted series with external numbering, no standard Rolex serial numbers but 001 to 999

  • Wow, i didn't know that their quartz model (RIP!) actually had a sweep rather than a tick! Sweet!! Always wondered if their owners were just so cool they didn't care if people thought it was fake!!

  • @mezmezmez1974 I wish all quartz movements were built in that way. :-( I would buy so many watches in a heart beat instead of blowing piles of cash to get selected automatics :-( :-P

  • maybe the dial is a aftermarket but, you cannot get such a perfect sweep on any cheap quartz or automatic

  • It's not aftermarket - it's limited series of 999 watches build 1970-72. Just serviced in Geneva.

  • Wow, have they been in business since 1070 ? Impressive !

  • 1070? How that?

Rolex is in Business since 1905 and in 1970 the first Rolex Quartz were sold.

  • @derkmarko @1908 - because they celebrated their centenary in 2008

  • Just as a comment to all the commenters, who don't know about older Rolex watches - this was the first Rolex qith quartz movement...

And it just passed a complete overhaul at Rolex Geneva. This week I'll sell this watch for EUR 10.000.- good price for a fake =8-)

  • @derkmarko

have 1 Rolex 5100 18k Gold in sell.. contac me for information

  • MEGA FAKE!!!!

  • how can you tell?

  • that's a hella nice fake
