@mlovesTx there will be an amateur radio club probably close to you somewhere just search on the web and see what you can find. If all else fails google ARRL they will probably help you find a club if you want to become a ham
Good vid but dont forget that most of the FRS you can buy are also GMRS and are capable of duplex operation. The license does not require a test and you can buy a good, cost effective repeater system that would give a group of people 10 - 30 mile range. Depending on antenna height and quality of handheld. You can TX 5 watts on GMRS with the lic.
